He is reliable and a good communicator. I have had him do 3 separate projects including a complete kitchen and bath re-model. He clearly takes pride in his work and will continually ask if you are satisfied. When I didn't like a section of tile, he (without any reservation) took it out and replaced it. At the end of each day, his crew cleaned the area. After Hurricane Sandy, his crew volunteered some of their time for the demolition part of the project (they completed the remodel months before this awful storm damage). His prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend! **★★★★★ — Pro Kitchen Design Inc., March 2015** > State-Wide Builders & Remodeling is one of our client in kitchen and bath projects. His work has been very reliable and considerate. If you have the plan for kitchens and others to be improved, we would like to recommend you to contact him. > > Thank you. > Pro kitchen Design Inc. > 201 945 5002 **★★★★★ — Jamie, March 2015** > I used Tom and his crew to do a complete gut and repair of my home when a fire had ravaged the front porch. I called three people for estimates and I knew immediately State-Wide was going to be my go to contractor. Tom immediately made sure I fully understood the work involved, felt comfortable with the materials he would be using and went the extra mile to track down samples for me when it involved locating siding which had been discontinued more than 5 years ago!. The work he and his compay did was exceptional and he even threw in many extras at no cost just because he truly cared about exceeding my expectations. Best of all they promised me a window in which the work would be completed and actually stuck to the schedule! > > The entire crew was kind, courteous and a pleasure to have in my home. I highly recommend State-Wide Builders and would use them again in a second. **★★★★★ — stocks111, March 2015** > I had architect drawings for a 2 room blowout (Kitchen, family/fireplace room) and State-Wide bid on the job. Both Tony and Tom came by the house looked at the job had their subcontractors come through and presented a thorough bid. I had two other bids soon knocked out one and State Wide worked with me on all the details and won the contract. Their kitchen cabinet person and countertop suppliers were great and they also allowed me to get items over the internet which they installed (LED lighting, Appliances and faucets). > > They did NOT low ball me I had few if any additional items and no suprises. All upgrades I picked were priced fairly and payment was in an orderly fashion with payment pursuant with completion schedules. > > If you want a contractor that will work with you then these are the ones they had the same crew every day which made me and the wife feel very comfortable. > > On a scale of 1 to 10 they get a 9 (thats because no-one gets a ten) ## Selected projects - [Kitchen renovation](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchen-renovation-pj-vj~2724101) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - [Custom PVC wall pergola](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-pvc-wall-pergola-pj-vj~1546575) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - [Custom reclaimed wood bookcase](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-reclaimed-wood-bookcase-pj-vj~1257947) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - [Custom stone work](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-stone-work-pj-vj~1257929) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - [Custom kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-kitchen-pj-vj~1006741) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Wood deck](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/wood-deck-pj-vj~1006728) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - [Custom tile niche](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-tile-niche-pj-vj~1006719) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - [Deal Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/deal-kitchen-pj-vj~452882) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 [See all 8 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/state-wide-builders-and-remodeling-contractors-pfvwus-pf~1041056964) --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
