A: Hey JW, It should not look like that, but it is possible for a new fabricator to come and repolish the seams and put a better color glue in the seam. If you show us a picture we could tell if someone buffed it instead of polished it, if the picture shows light shining on the surface. Buffs are not permanent fixes. When refinishing to polish, that is a permanent fix. Unfortunately, we are on the east coast or we would be able to come out and fix it for you. It is worth getting another opinion, and from what you are saying it should be able to be fixed Thank you. Jeffress Stone Team **Q: Tile question when redoing a shower** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have to redo the tile in our master bath shower. I cannot get the same tile to match the rest of the master bath. Any suggestions on what I could do? I am thinking of the bottom 2 feet around the shower with bench and the floor in shower. A: A slab floor and walls in Granite, marble or Quartz will give you a seamless grout free alternative that is easy clean. I have included a picture of work we have done for reference. **Q: Our Master Bath remodel** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have 1" hex unglazed white tile on large bath floor. I'm planning on Matt white subway tile on shower walls and bathtub 3' surround. I have looked at marble off white , w/ grey and beige lines for shower floor and niches but don't know what to do for other smaller shape/ 1"x2" or 2" hex or 2x2"? Basketweave? I'm afraid I might make it too busy. Any suggestions? The shower pan is 36 x 60". A: If you like the look of Marble, consider a slab shower pan. It wont look as busy and will offer a grout free installation for ease of cleaning. picture is included for reference. **Q: Master bathroom quandry!** *(in Design Dilemma)* I need help! We have Normandy granite (exotic Brazil?) countertops and a driftwood looking tile with a flat riverstone inset. None of these things seem to blend together and I thought that changing out the riverstone would be the easiest way to pull the countertop and tile together. But I am stumped. I don't know what to get. The granite is so bold and busy and the tile has vertical stridatuons. Can someone point me in the right direction, if possible? Can this be pulled together somehow? What color/type backsplash should I use? A: Why not River White Granite Backsplashes? Full wall backsplashes have a very modern look. There's also this new product called Glassos, a crystallized glass, that would go nicely with your modern kitchen look. You can get Glassos in full wall backsplaches, tiled backsplash, or any look you would like.
