## Community Q&A

**Q: Decor help needed** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Looking for advice with the sides of the couch and any thoughts for around the window pane. I'd like to bring in a lamp or two on either side of the couch but not sure if this is going to look like too much in the space and what style. The room is not large and the other wall has windows and also a door on the other wall. Each side of the couch is only about a foot and a half of space in with. Any advice would be so great! 

Can't replace the couch today so need to incorporate.

A: Something we've done before that could work well here is a small side table next to the lamp with a low shelf for hiding little essentials (extension cord, dog treats, etc). Or shift your couch to the right and create additional custom seating below the window!

**Q: Dining room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Would like to do East Indian decor. Open to chandeliers, sconces, dining tables, rugs

A: Live Edge tables like ours are modern, but rustic enough to work with any design theme. With East Indian decor, warmer tones of Cherry or Walnut will coordinate well with bolder hues and metallics, and if you ever decide to redecorate, the rich woodgrain will stay timeless.

**Q: Small dining... banquette?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

New homeowner here! My dining room is small (8 × 9). It opens to the living area and has a doorway to the kitchen on one wall. We are using my dad's old table temporarily because our table is way too big for the space. I have 2 goals: that our table be big enough to seat 4 comfortably  (but ideally more for guests) and that the layout not block flow in and out of the kitchen. We were thinking about maybe adding banquette seating opposite the doorway so that the table could be moved over (and flipped long way), but I'm worried the room would look off balance with the table off center from the windows and lighting. Help!

A: Another creative way of using the space would be to embrace the off-centered table location by using a table that is asymmetrical and organically-shaped, and possibly even custom made for you - just a thought!
