It took a couple of edits but the design was what I was looking for. I bought the Madison Toffee. Then I’m having the cabinets painted a soft beachy blue. I’m happy with the quality. My only complaint is that I did not realize the drawer glides were so basic. They drag a bit, I knew they were soft close but thought they’d be smooth glides. They are not. We are so glad you love the cabinets! **★ — User, Oct. 2021** > We recently purchased $5,000 worth of RTA White Shaker Elite cabinets. On delivery there were no signs of outer damage. Unfortunately when we started to assemble a couple a weeks after delivery, we were super disappointed regards the quality. Three cabinets had warped boxes which made assembly almost impossible (and frustrating). Two cabinets were scratched on the face side. Two other cabinets were scratched and marked on the sides that show. One cabinet was missing a vital installation slot altogether. Two wall cabinets have completely different finishes/shelves inside (I wish this review site would enable photos). Each base cabinet also a slightly different color interior finish. One utility cabinet is marked up and damaged on the inside. Two 'decorative' end pieces are both a 1/4" wider than the actual frame and while this might work okay for a base cabinet, it doesn't work for a wall cabinet (since it has to be installed flush to the wall). Would have been great if this was pointed out (anywhere) on their web site. We are handy folk and with a lot of time, ingenuity and various power tools (and touch up paint), managed to fix or hide most of the various manufacturing/quality faults and eventually get the cabinets assembled. On this project, we had planned to move forward with purchasing kitchen and bathroom(s) cabinetry from Lily Ann, but are blown away and super disappointed by how poor their QC is. We purchased from them based on all the positive reviews and now can't believe they are all legit. We decided to try LilyAnn because a coworker mentioned them, and LilyAnn had the glass front cabinets I wanted. We placed our order, and after waiting 2 weeks without getting any email response my husband called them. They said they never received the order. My husband gave them the number, and “oops, we did receive it, we just haven’t processed it. We will get that started right away!” After 2 more months waiting and us emailing several times, we still had not received any communication. My husband called again, and they said they were just getting ready to ship the order. The order arrived about 2 weeks after that. The cabinets were easy to assemble, but do not seem as sturdy as the other brand. The kicker is… we ordered 2 cherry bookshelves. One unit has blond shelves and the other has cherry shelves. Not even usable! We have contacted them about this 3 times and no response! We are planning buy wood and make shelves! I've done 2 kitchens from other RTA stores in the meantime. Oh PS I live in Michigan so to speed things up and help them out i offered to pick up cabinets. I rented a truck 3 times only to have to cancel. Worst customer service ever. I really have been patient and I try to stay local . They make it impossible. What do you tell the homeowner when they want to know status. If they had told me the truth I could have ordered somewhere else but I would have came back to local business. Although their sizing selections may seem limited, Lily Ann worked with me to modify the cabinets for 2 custom sizes. Only 2 doors and a face frame had minor defects, all which they replaced for free without an issue. > My only compliant was the lack of updates between placing your order and delivery. Had travel plans coming up and it started to get stressful towards the last few days before delivery. What I didn’t know is that their delivery team is pretty flexible and able to push out the delivery date if needed. > I did build the cabinets myself and I was able to do this over a short weekend (aside from the 3 defect pieces, which took no time to put together after). When putting the cabinets together, I recommend using Titebond II (blue) wood glue. Their dovetail assembly method is very easy and can be mastered after building one cabinet. Also one thing I failed to realize when ordering, the cabinet sides are already painted and finished, no need to buy side skins! You would only need the skins if you want to make the side flush with the face frame. > They also give you the option to have it assembled ($500 at the time) which is not a bad option if you have any doubts about RTA cabinets. Each time I order there appears to be more quality issues. If you have time to wait around for the correct cabinets or to deal with waiting on replacements to be made then you will be fine but if you expect to get the correct order the first time it's unlikely to happen. The last couple orders I got cabinets with the wrong cut and some with a different color and/or finish than the rest of the cabinets. It's irritating because you can't complete your kitchen most of the time with only some of the correct cabinets. They will eventually send you the correct parts or cabinets but you should be prepared for delays. Note the mismatched corner cabinet.
