Kevins Field operations Manager, Blake Edmonds was a key reason the project went smoothly. Blake was easy to work with. Took the time to explain the process and answer any questions I had. This company, Oasis Homes builds a quality home, on time and at a reasonable cost. I would absolutely use them again.

A: Marijo30, this is quite an old photo so we no longer have records of the specific countertop that was used in this photo.

A dated kitchen getting a much needed facelift. The main floor was updated with new paint, cabinetry, flooring and lighting. Cabinets around the fireplace make the area more organized. Pantry was removed to open up the corner. Sink was moved, and peninsula creates more storage space as well as functional seating area.

This project was hugely satisfying, and it's not hard to see why. Not only were we able to restore a beautiful, inviting warmth, but also crucial protection for the wood.

**Q: Building a home in Michigan** *(in Building a Home)*

Hi,  I am in the process of building a home.  I am kind of taken back by the prices.  The small 1000 sq ft home I want is going to be around 165k to build.  I have the land and it is paid off.  There is site prep, well and septic needed and on and on.  Are there some cost cutting ideas anyone has ?????

A: In modular homes, particularly homes that are built to BOCA codes (and not HUD codes) there is about 20% more lumber used for a variety of reasons.  This additional lumber and insulation helps insulate the house better making it more energy efficient.  Of course, just like a traditional stick built home, you can add a geothermal system or any other types of energy efficient products to continue to boost energy efficiency.
