Importantly, the results are really well done and do not look cheap, hurried or shoddy. When underlying issues were discovered, they were addressed and not "hidden." So, we had to install a vent because (against code) the former owners of the house had not done so (which was the reason my fire alarms had previously gone off frequently when I cooked). He was also helpful when it came to design decisions for the floor replacement (he has a good eye!). He was never pushy but we trusted his opinion since he does this everyday.
