## About

### Houzz Badges

- 10 Ideabook Saves

Bormann Eitemiller Architects P.C. (BEA) was founded in 1990 providing architectural services for custom residential clients in southwestern portion of Connecticut. This area is known for its residential architectural authenticity and elegance. Projects that BEA completed there include both new and remodel residences in many different Colonial New England styles.

Relocating to Denver in 1992, BEA continues to provide sensitive custom residential architectural services in many historic neighborhoods in Denver, Colorado. At Present BEA has completed over one hundred custom residential projects ranging from scrape offs, complete makeovers, additions, pop tops, interior only remodels, bathrooms and kitchens in many Denver styles.

BEA approaches each project with a simple philosophy that each clients project is unique and requires a sympathetic yet, distinctive architectural solution. We explore and present multiple architectural alternatives in an open debate with our clients, resulting in the construction of the best possible design solution. Because of this BEA has established and maintained a reputation for both collaborative working method and being able to deliver projects that are on schedule and within budget.

In addition to custom single-family residences, BEA has also completed multi-family residential, religious and commercial projects. While employed with other firms, Mr., Bormann has completed senior living facilities, K-12 Schools, Collegiate, Medical, Recreational and high rise mixed use urban projects. Most notable of these projects include Bank of America center, Nighthorse Campbell Native Health center and The Manor homes at Cherry Creek.

Both Mr. Bormann and Ms. Eitemiller hold Masters of Architecture degrees. They have won architectural design awards, been published, lectured locally on architectural topics, reviewed architectural books, and taught architecture in local colleges and universities. New commissions are always welcome as both pleasant challenges and great opportunities. Please feel free to contact us for a free consultation.

**★★ — John Trogonoski, May 2023**

> We were disappointed with our experience working with Paul on a 2nd story addition. He was recommended to us as someone who had designed other poptop additions, including in a historic district. His design plan was good, but he kept forgetting that our house was located in a historic district and had to meet certain requirements of the Denver Landmark Commission. He seemed unable to focus on our project, and he was constantly distracted by other projects and priorities. We definitely came away feeling like his least important client. After seven or eight months, we eventually abandoned the project because he couldn't create a design that was even close to being acceptable to the historic district, even though he had done the same exact thing for another house a couple of blocks away. Needless to say, we came away frustrated and disappointed.

> Paul Bormann is our architect for a second story addition on our 7th Avenue bungalow in Denver. We chose to work with him based on his experience with similar projects as well as his experience working with the Landmark Preservation Committee. We love the respect he has for the history of our home but we love even more his ability to listen and offer us very modern solutions.

  - Description: Preserving this Jacques Benedict classic Mediterranean Revival house was not such an easy feat. Architectural updates to the interior included a makeover of every space on each of the three floors. Certain areas such as the entry foyer's vaulted ceilings, ironwork, light fixtures, wood trim, floors, and plaster walls were merely cleaned and repaired. Modifications include each of the five upper-level bedroom suites, a full kitchen remodel, a new butler's pantry, a new breakfast nook, updates to…
