**Q: plaster color please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me what this plaster color is?

A: This pool is over a decade old but we use custom blended Diamond Brite finishes. My guess it that its a Super Blue/Onyx mix.

**Q: POLL: Do you eat dinner together as a family every night?** *(in Polls)*

With varying schedules it can be a challenge to get everyone together at the same time for dinner every night. Do you manage to pull this off? Let's hear about it!

A: I have three active boys so sports get in the way...but we really work hard to grab this time. It's so important to put the phones away, face each other, and talk. It's by far my favorite family event.

**Q: Retaining wall?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Did you need to beef up the pool shell on the side with the exposed pool wall? Usually the dirt in the ground supports it. Was that very costly? How much thicker is the pool wall on that side?

A: Since most of the pool shell was underground, the structural requirements weren't much more significant. I think the shell wall is 12" thick before the stone veneer.

**Q: how does the spa work?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm always curious about these types of spas.  Is the water level somehow drawn down before running or does it rely on the water being heated faster than the pool water can cool it off?

A: We get that question quite a bit Ryan. The trick is a valve system that diverts all flow to the spa. When that happens, the spa ceases to 'flood', and the two bodies of water are separated...which allows the spa to be heated on it's own. Hope that helps.

**Q: Beautiful pool! Curious where your found a fabricator for the handrail** *(in Photo Questions)*

A client of our in NC is looking for a decorative rail like this (But return to deck). Is that bronze or coated?

A: Thank you. Actually the homeowner had a local source custom make the handrail. They handled the installation as well.
