> I happened to see Joelle's ideas for a friend's kitchen and study. I was able to listen to and observe first hand the discussions she had with my friend about colors, concepts and costs. I was able to see my friend's ideas take shape and come to fruition. I was inspired to ask Joelle if she could sit down with me and listen while I spun my ideas about my living space. Joelle asked me what I hoped to create and I said I wanted people to come into my home and feel comfortable. Joelle spent hours doing research including field work to build a model that I could really grasp. Joelle is nothing if not passionate and dedicated to see a project through to completion. I learned to trust Joelle's judgement about space, color and texture. I have to laugh because early on I had a hard time letting go of items that had been in my home for decades. In her professional and kind way she was able to keep me focused on the ideas I had shared. Joelle counseled me through the changes I wanted to make but resisted. Most of the living space she and I worked together on is done. Those people who knew what my living area looked like before have walked in the door and gasped out of sheer pleasure at seeing the outcome of her work and mine. My daughter said the first word that came into her mind when she saw the living room was comfort. She had not known that this was exactly what I had wanted. I had a dream and Joelle was my dream weaver.

It happened that when it came time to lay out funds for furniture, a national holiday was imminent so several items were discounted. Joelle was cost conscious without sacrificing quality. I was kept well informed of her research results so I was always prepared for the timelines.
