> We built a new home and had Etched in Stone do our flooring, shower and kitchen backsplash. Anne was very very helpful in
> selecting floors and making suggestions as to which way to lay the tile making the rooms look better. I would not have chosen
> the shower tile but with Anne's help it turned out awesome. I get many compliments on the shower and kitchen backsplash.
> The installers were very polite and worked hard to get the installation perfect. I am truly happy with all and would recommend
> Etched in Stone to anyone.

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Hi Kathy! We are so pleased to hear that you are happy with your home! It was such a fun project to work on and you were such a pleasure to work with! Thank you for your kind words! By the way, we LOVE your light fixture!

> The team at Etched in Stone was very helpful. They listened to what I thought I wanted and what I was really saying. They gave me a variety of samples to bring home and evaluate in my space. I love the tile we chose for our entryway and our backsplash. I was looking for something with a variety of colors, classic and had a lake-feel. I think we nailed it. They also helped with suggestions for colors and choices in my other spaces and I loved it all.

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Hi Jodi!
> We truly enjoyed working with you on your project and we are so thrilled that you are happy with the outcome! Thank you for your kind words!

> We had a wonderful experience with Etched In Stone when building our house. There are so many decisions to make throughout the process but when it came to flooring and tile we left it up to Anne. She was amazing with listening to what we wanted and perfectly matched up selections for us. We trusted her professional opinion and it took a lot of stress off of us. The installation team was friendly, clean, and did an amazing job. We couldn’t be happier with their work! Thank you to the entire team!

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Thank you, Mary, for your kind words! It was truly our pleasure to work with you on your new home! We wish you the best and are here for you in the future! Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your project!

> We recently moved into our new home and couldn't be happier with it. Etched in Stone provided a beautiful zero-entry shower for the master bath, as well as the coordinating tile floor . Our designer, Ann, guided us through the process with excellent product knowledge, patience and advice. She was able to determine both what we needed and wanted, even though we didn't know ourselves. The installation was done perfectly and on time.

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Thank you, Shelley, for your thoughtful review of our services! We are so happy that you are pleased with your shower! It was a true pleasure to work with you both and we wish you many happy years in your new home!

> We were very pleased with our experience in choosing Etched in Stone to complete a bathroom remodel. The focal point of the bathroom was removing an existing bathtub and replacing it with a tiled shower. Eric Wergin, Store Owner, came to our house to measure and speak with our bathroom remodeler about placement of backer boards for safety rails. Anne Myers, Designer and Showroom Manager, was most professional and patient with our first time attempt in a complete remodel. She answered all of our questions regarding the care and management of our tile and offered suggestions that would help us. The showroom is beautiful but seemed overwhelming when at first choosing both shower and floor tiles. We had gone into the showroom ahead of time just to look around at what we thought we would like. The following day, at our appointment with Anne, we were able to select both tiles after Anne showed us what size tile would work best for the flooring and shower wall. She also suggested grout colors which turned out to be perfect. Our tiler Jason was the best! Everyone was so pleasant to work with. We would definitely recommend Etched in Stone for home improvements! Mary Jo and Steve Matthies

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words, Mary Jo & Steve! It was a true pleasure working with you both and we are very happy to hear how pleased you are with your beautiful new bathroom!

> The staff at Etched in Stone helped us to define our Transitional Victorian style. Anne, the interior designer, was superb to work with. She systematically helped us turn our vision into reality. The installers were professional and detail oriented. Etched in Stone's quality and craftsmanship was exactly what we were looking for. From the hand scraped maple hardwood floors to the expert tile work including our unique bronze Arizona Hot Dots backsplash for our stove, we couldn't be more pleased. Our master bathroom shower is truly one of a kind with a picture framed mosaic. I feel like I am in a tranquil spa! We look forward to the many family memories that will be created on our forever home. Thank you Etched in Stone!

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> We recently completed a total renovation on a farmhouse. We used Etched in Stone for all of the flooring and tile. They made the experience wonderful! Anne Meyers, the designer, is extremely knowledgeable on product and the process of installing. She thoroughly thought out every aspect of the project. We had concerns with putting engineered hardwood over in-floor radiant heat. Anne called the manufacturer, Mercier, to help alleviate our concerns. If we had a question. she had a well thought out answer, making sure we were always satisfied! The installers are very talented and took time to think through every step of the installation. They installed several styles of tile, Marmoleum tile, vinyl, and hardwood in our house. They took great pride in their work and made sure we were satisfied with the job they were doing. The owner, Eric, stayed informed on the progress of the work, insuring we were happy and satisfied with all that was being done. We had an awesome experience with everyone we dealt with in this company! We hare happy we chose them and would not hesitate to use them for other projects!

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We thoroughly enjoyed working on your project and look forward to any future collaborations!

> We renovated the kitchen and three bathrooms using tile and expertise from Etched in Stone. From the professional guidance in the showroom for selecting from a extensive sample of tiles and the design layout to the installation we found every aspect of the work well done and exceeding our expectations. The final on-time results demonstrate the knowledge, experience and versatility of these professionals.

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Thank you so much for the lovely review, as well as the "before and after" photographs! Your project was a truly enjoyable one, as was getting to know you both! Thank you!

> Anne and Etched in Stone were excellent to work with. Anne is very knowledgeable about every type of stone (both natural and man made), wood and any new or different type of product on the market. She helped us with all aspects of our projects. Not only flooring, but even paint colors for other rooms in the house. We have used Etched in Stone for a complete rebuild of our cottage and also for a major remodel in our home. Any other project in the future will include Etched in Stone!

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Thank you so much for your review! We enjoyed working with you on both projects and look forward to any future projects, as well!

> Etched in Stone did two projects for us--a hardwood floor in the master bedroom and floor tile in the kitchen/hall. We were extremely pleased with their design assistance and the project results and highly recommend them for similar projects you might have.

> Eric Wergin, Etched in Stone, was our general contractor when we remodeled our kitchen, master bath, and main bathroom. He assembled an excellent group of subcontractors and ensured all the work was done timely and correctly. The tile work done by Etched in Stone is beautiful. We have family members with backgrounds in building trades who have specifically commented about how perfectly the tiles were installed. Anne Myers, the designer, was knowledgeable, patient and helpful as we tried to sort through tile options and types of installation. We lived in the house during the remodeling and found everyone who worked here to be polite and professional. We have recommended Etched in Stone to friends and would definitely use them again should the opportunity arise.

**Comment from Etched In Stone:**

> Chris and Marggie,
> Thank you so much for your review! I am so pleased to hear that you are still so happy with the final outcome of your project! It was a pleasure to work with you both!

## Community Q&A

**Q: what is the floor? thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Floor

A: Hello! Unfortunately, this tile has been discontinued by the manufacturer. It was Florida Tile, Gallant, Carrara Matte. However, you may want to take a look at Florida Tile, Marquis, Carrara OR Florida Tile, Enchant, Honesty. Both of those lines have a very similar visual and are the same type of glazed porcelain product. Good luck!

**Q: what floor tile was used? thank you!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Carriers look porcelain tile

A: Hello! Thanks for your question. This tile was made by Florida Tile and was called Gallant, Carrara Matte. Unfortunately, this tile is now discontinued. Florida Tile has a newer line called Enchant, with a color called Honesty that is very similar to the product shown. Hopefully that will help! Good luck with your project!

**Q: What type/color of tile is this??** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love this tile. Can you tell me what type and color it is? Or where I can get it?

A: I'm not sure where you are located, but I am happy to assist with obtaining this tile if you are anywhere near Wisconsin!

**Q: Where can I buy these hooks?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I want to recreate this mudroom... Thanks!

A: Hi Lori!
The hooks come from Pottery Barn and are called "Row of Cast Iron Hooks." They are still available on the website. Here is a link:
http://www.potterybarn.com/search/results.html?words=row%20of%20cast%20iron%20hooks&cm\_sp=HeaderLinks--OnsiteSearch--MainSite&cm\_type=OnsiteSearch

I hope this helps! Good luck with your project!

**Q: Which color of ehex?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this tile. Is this the Sonoma Jade Ehex with Silk Finish? I am trying to decide between silk or iridescent. Thanks.

A: Hello, Lori!
Thanks for your question! You are correct that this is Sonoma, Vihara, E-Hex. This is actually a blend of two colors: Jade & Wabi, both with the Iridescent finish. The lighting in these pictures doesn't really show the iridescent finish very well. We hand-pieced the two colors randomly. The client wanted both the darker green tone in the Jade, as well as the lighter blueish tone in the Wabi, hence the random mix of the two colors. I hope that this helps!
Anne

**Q: Picking Floor Color** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi,
I am a first time homeowner looking to pick a floor color to replace this ugly white carpet (seen in the bottom right corner of these pics). I know you shouldn't match the cabinets exactly but I would like something complementary. I was also hoping to go dark wood, but not sure how that would look. I have no idea what kind of finish or wood the cabinets are... thank you!

A: Hello Casse!
I love how bright your kitchen is! You could very easily use a darker wood flooring to replace your white carpet! The contrast between the white trim and the dark wood will be lovely! My rule of thumb is to look very closely at your wood cabinetry and find the absolute darkest "spot" of wood that you can find. This is your baseline for determining the hardwood floor color. In other words, you MUST be at least that dark with the flooring, or even darker. The goal is to have enough contrast between the new wood flooring and the existing wood cabinetry to make it clear that you were not trying to match them. Also, pay attention to the undertones in your cabinetry. Your wood appears to be rather "warm" in color, with some orange-golden undertones. You will want to make sure that your new hardwood floors also have those warmer undertones, albeit in darker shades, which will ensure that your new flooring truly compliments the cabinetry. Good luck!
