Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry builds custom cabinetry inspired by painted antique furniture. We use a hand-painted, milk paint finish that allows us to create a worn patina that is perfect for many kitchen styles.

We will complete design work for the cabinetry layout. Timeless Kitchen works with homeowners, architects, builders and designers.

At a young age, Kevin began to learn the trade of cabinetmaking from his father, Bryce Ritter. His interest in this industry continued to grow and during the summers of his college years at Clemson University, Kevin returned home to Pennsylvania to further hone his skills. His father's business continued to grow, producing a nationally recognized line of antique reproduction furniture. Kevin eventually joined the family business in 1999. After an increasing demand for kitchen cabinetry based on their furniture and many kitchens later, Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry was born.

We produce only about twelve kitchens annually. By limiting the amount of projects that we accept, we can ensure that each one-of-a-kind kitchen receives the proper attention to detail.

Because of its history as antique reproduction furniture makers, Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry has a strong appreciation for the worn patina of antique painted furniture and the textures of antique wood. Their finishing techniques have been developed and modified over many years, creating what is certainly a unique finish in the kitchen cabinet industry.

Based in Middle Tennessee, shipping nationwide.

> Kevin was wonderful to work with. He was extremely professional, patient, knowledgeable and had great communication. We really appreciate all the time he took to explore many different ideas and colors to create just what we wanted. The final product was even better than we could have imagined. The workmanship and attention to detail was outstanding and we would highly recommend him!

> If you don't want the same old stuff the big design houses offer, Kevin can offer something beautiful, unique, and perfect for your home! Wide varieties of textures, finishes, and hardware, with endless customization options. I would be happy to not only recommend TKC to anyone, but to support the business again for any remodel or build.

> Kevin gave us so much more than cabinetry. He created a space that embraces the history and character of our 1798 farmhouse in a way that is very personal to us - and a design that is exceedingly functional for creating delicious meals and providing a warm and inviting place for our friends and family to gather.
>
> Kevin has profound knowledge and respect for historic architecture and antiques, and the skill and care to execute pieces that have just as much character and patina as the furniture in our home that is hundreds of years old. From how the paint is carefully worn down around the door handles to mimic years of use, to intentionally creating the dents and marks that appear on well-loved heirlooms, his furniture tells a story and fits effortlessly into our home.
>
> Kevin is an excellent collaborator and worked hard to deeply understand our vision and inspiration for the space from hundreds of miles away. One of many examples is that we wanted our hutch to pull from the reds and browns of our brick floor. He created multiple samples, layering different pigments and using techniques to age the paint. The final result of the color and patina on this piece is totally unique and (like the entire project) better than anything we could have dreamed up.
>
> An incredible benefit of working with Kevin was that he introduced us to other artisans to complete our kitchen. From our contractor to the lighting, soapstone countertops and hardware - because of Kevin’s network, we ultimately ended up with the ‘Dream Team’ for our project.
>
> We would have no hesitation recommending Kevin as a collaborator on your next project. We can’t wait to work with him again.

> Kevin far and away exceeded every expectation I had for our custom island. His attention to detail and communication throughout the building process was also wonderful. I would recommend Kevin to anyone looking to add custom cabinetry to their home!

> My cabinets from Kevin Ritter of Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry were just delivered and they are even more beautiful, unique and well crafted than I had imagined. To say I am delighted would be an understatement. Although not yet installed, everyone who has seen them so far has remarked on their quality, and the artisan touches that are difficult to find nowadays . A lot of my friends have had their kitchens renovated recently, and even though they all have expensive custom cabinets, they look mass-produced. Kevin's cabinets are hand crafted, and they look it. Surprisingly, they cost at least one-third LESS than the pre-pandemic price I was quoted by a local custom cabinet maker in Philadelphia, even taking into consideration the cost of shipping the cabinets from Tennessee. The price was also nearly identical to the estimate Kevin quoted me in December of 2019 (note - the delay had nothing to do with Kevin). My entire experience with Kevin has been fantastic. I am a control freak, and sent him tons of specifications as to what I wanted, and asked a lot of questions. My kitchen is small (about 10' x 10'), so this was not a large job, but Kevin was always responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. He mailed me color samples of blocks of wood at least a half dozen times, until I found the exact shade I wanted. The cabinets arrived nearly completely assembled, including all of the doors and hinges on the cabinets, so I do not have to worry about my contractor correctly installing the amazingly cool "rattail" hinges. The shipping went very smoothly, took only a day, my cabinets arrived without even a nick in them, and the driver was on time, courteous and kept in communication along the way. Do not hesitate to choose Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry, no matter how far away from Tennessee you might live - you will be very glad that you did!

> We are excited to share a bit about our tremendous and positive experience with Kevin and Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry. My husband and I searched for MONTHS for a kitchen island suited to fit an open space in the middle of our new kitchen. Our vision was for something special, with: craftsmanship, the look of furniture, great functionality, and a timeless sense of belonging. I spent hours online; scouted out home furnishing and specialty/custom furniture stores; including a kitchen design store. Finding the right size and detailing was a struggle. When we discovered Kevin's offerings and portfolio, it felt like we had come home. He listened to the ideas and asks, carefully assessed our space, and together we came up with the ideal size, features, and look that would make for a lasting treasure. Though already very busy, he promised the piece before the holiday season and "fit us in!" Throughout the process, he communicated proactively, gave great design advice, and gave us amazing options for hardware and the butcher block. He even hosted a visit to his workshop to hand select the finish and details. Kevin is truly a remarkable craftsman. We feel so honored he made time to share his talent with us and create such a defining piece for us to enjoy and use. Our friends, family, and neighbors (some with lots of carpentry experience) have opened drawers and doors and been truly impressed with his work too!!! Thank you, Kevin for creating the piece of our dreams. So wonderful!!! (I have tried adding photos to this post. Hopefully they make the upload. :-))

> Hire Kevin you will be so thrilled. Amazing work and I am super, super picky. Absolutely love our sassafras cabinets, island and second painted island that Kevin built for us. We really couldn't be happier with the design, craftsmanship, and professionalism. Kevin is creative and a great communicator open to working outside the box and he follows through all the way past the end of the project.

> Hire Kevin. Don't hesitate. He is not only a great craftsman, but he really gets Design. This was very important to me. I worked with him over the course of at least a year getting my reclaimed Chestnut kitchen cabinetry design right from over 900 miles away. And it is absolutely beautiful. He was always available to my by phone, email and text. He always had excellent feedback about the usefulness, care, finish and aesthetics of my ideas. He went above and beyond to deliver my cabinets on schedule. I would hire Kevin again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Kevin!

> We moved from a larger home (circa 1720) which had an entire Timeless Kitchen, the hardest thing to leave (besides our neighbors) was the kitchen...When we downsized and moved to "in town" living, we knew that the only person to call for a kitchen hutch that would give us room for cookbooks and much more storage, was Kevin! The workmanship, finish and quality are amazing! It was ready when promised and the delivery was flawless! Thank you Kevin!

**★★★★★ — mythreeson, June 2015**

> Timeless Kitchens built an island and refrigerator/freezer cabinets for our home in the Adirondacks which both look awesome. We cannot be any happier with the craftsmanship, on time delivery and overall experience we had with Kevin.

**★★★★★ — Brett Dillon, June 2015**

> Kevin's builds a very special product, and is very pleasant to work with...even with some delays, out of his control, he saw things thru til we were 100% satisfied. The milk paint finish he applies is amazing, and our kitchen is truly "one-of-a kind". I cannot wait to work with him again on another project!

> Kevin Ritter was the perfect craftsman to build cabinets for our kitchen renovation. We wanted the kitchen to fit the aesthetic of our 1811 farmhouse but it also needed to incorporate all the modern conveniences and bells and whistles of high end contemporary construction. We wanted a very functional kitchen, not just a show piece. Kevin was able to deliver on all fronts. He was easy to work with and very open to our ideas throughout the project. He worked well with our builder and the job was completed on schedule. The quality of his work is outstanding. The kitchen is a focal point of our home and a delight to work in. We would highly recommend Kevin Ritter to a friend.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Would you know the color on walls? I have similar cabinets.** *(in Photo Questions)*

My cabinets are similar in color. Love the wall color.

A: Sorry, the homeowner made that decision and I do not recall what wall color they used

**Q: Love the farmhouse sink. Can you tell me where you purchased?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I like that the sink is divided and has an integrated back splash. I would be interested in knowing where you purchased it.

A: This was a vintage sink that the homeowner had reconditioned. I believe there are some manufacturers making this style. You might try vintagetub.com.

**Q: Love your work!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me the depth of the creative storage spaces in the upper cabinet for the microwave and coffee “bar”?

A: I believe they were 24" deep because the specs for the built-in coffee maker called for that depth. Typically the upper part of the hutch would be much shallower.

**Q: Absolutely beautiful kitchens!!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did the adjustable light over the sink come from? Your cabinets are amazing! One of the first kitchen photos I saved for an upcoming restoration and addition project on an 1873 brick home is one of your kitchens. Thank you in advance for your help with the light.

A: I'm sorry....the homeowner chose the lighting and I have no record of that manufacturer. Use the term "pulley light" when you are searching.

**Q: Wall color and cabinet color? Never answered.** *(in Photo Questions)*

have similar cabinets I think and am trying to find a wall color that doesn't diminish cabinets

A: The cabinet color was a custom mixed shade of white using paint from Real Milk Paint. I have no record of the wall color the homeowner used.

**Q: Love the sink-What depth is it?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We are re doing our kitchen and have to fit it in our existing cabinet so 7-8 inch depth

A: That is one of the Whitehaven sink models from Kohler. I think the opening height is 8 3/4" but double check on the specs on their website. Good luck!
