This was entirely due to change of budget situation and priorities and should not reflect on Chuck. > > I enjoyed working with Chuck. At first he struck me as reserved and un-opinionated, but I realized he was quietly taking in my needs and internalizing the feedback I gave him. One of the things we faced contention on was moving the fireplace in order to have a bigger kitchen. I had just renovated the fireplace and was worried about the money I would waste on moving it again, and damaging the marble surround. However, over time, Chuck was able to remind me of my goals of a bigger kitchen, and that the fireplace could be relocated to achieve better space usage for both my kitchen and my living room. > > Chuck is very by the book and honest, but I think if you can get him to comfortably express his opinion and advocate for it, you can see his thought process shine. I realized that Chuck is very interested in serving the client's needs over being an advocate for his own architectural vision.
