> My husband and I hired Ben Greenberg, owner of Maru-Arch for a possible renovation of our kitchen, master bath, and an addition of a full bath for a child's bedroom.
> We had never worked with an architect before, and were unsure how the process works. However, we were immediately calmed by his website's thorough explanation of what to expect when hiring an architect, and upon meeting him we knew that Ben understood our vision.
> We met with Maru-Arch (Ben Greenberg) several times throughout the planning stages of the design, discussing everything from budget, to layout, to personal style. He was honest in what could practically be implemented and what might be a budgetary concern, and was helpful in suggesting alternative solutions if the current design conflicted with the existing house and budgetary limits.
> The best thing I can say about our experience with Ben, is his responsiveness. Any time I sent an email asking for a change to the design, or a question about layout, I was emailed back within the day.. sometimes even the hour.  I always felt like he understood how important the project was to us.
> Ben was upfront about the cost of the different phases of the project, starting with his fees and the services he provides. For our project we met several times, went through many stages of drawings with revisions, and ultimately submitted his drawings to local contractors who submitted bids for the job.
> Because of the thorough experience in hiring an architect, we were able to see the pros and cons of renovating vs moving into another house.. and ultimately we decided to move, instead. But without the help of working with Ben and seeing the real cost of a renovation, we would have never known the best choice for our family. And if we ever want to renovate another House, the first person we would call, would be Maru-Arch. No matter how big or small of a project, he will understand your vision and will work tirelessly until the dream you saw in your mind is staring back at you in the form of an architectural drawing.
