Can you tell me the colour name on the walls/bookcase? A: Plum Island, from California Paint's "Colors of America " series was used to give a nod to the wood paneling, with a twist of purple. **Q: What color paint on cabs, subway tile, and material/color of counter?** *(in Photo Questions)* I am also in MBTS, and am building a house. Unfortunately, my business is about site-specific color which works with natural light. I do not believe that taking a selection of colors from another site will work in your favor(The physics is that light is only a function of the existing light). Houzz makes it seem simple to "borrow" from images and use them directly for your own project, but that is not design and never yields long term results. Home building is too expensive a process to give you an easy answer that will not work. I do not feel right misleading the public. Sorry! I wish you the best or luck with your project. Kim **Q: What color are the walls in this photo?** *(in Photo Questions)* What color are he walls in this photo A: Hello Nicky, Sharing the wall color from another client's site-specific plan (poorly represented here by photography) would only confuse your efforts and not be of help to you. As you recall, when we worked together recently to prepare your home for resale, that color is determined solely by existing light. The successful sale of your property suggests that the light conditions that were adjusted by your custom color plan made it appealing to a discerning market. I'm sure you would be happier with the outcome of an expensive interior paint job for your new home if you tested large samples on site. Many local paint retailers will lend you large samples for this purpose. Good luck with your project. Kim **Q: Trim color** *(in Photo Questions)* Beautiful! I'm curious what color you use for the trim? I am in search of the correct trim color for our colonial home and this looks perfect! A: Thank you for your kind comment. I cannot recall the owners name for this image (I do over 100 homes a year and this was 10 years ago) so I can't give you the color that was used. I think that White Dove(BMP) or Linen White(BMP) would be a good guess. I must warn you though, color from a photograph tells you nothing about it's appropriateness for your own situation. All color depends on the light of the space and what it is next to. You may like the contrast that this white gives with the red(that is something that you can read in a photograph) so try to pick a saturated color for the walls to get a similar effect. I hope that helps. **Q: What are these two colors? Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Good question! I have no idea what color the samples are that I placed above the window frame. I only used them to illustrate the concept of sampling in natural light. They do come from the Benjamin Moore Historic (HC) palette; one is a yellow the other a yellow green. Knowing their names will not help your particular project. They will never look the same in your light conditions as they do in this photo - so take home a series of pale yellows and yellow greens from your local paint store and try them against your existing trim( or a cream trim sample) to see what you can get to meet your minds eye that has been inspired by this photo.
