**Q: Living room lacking a personality** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi, all -

This is our living room. We have an open concept home with very few walls to decorate, so I feel like my furniture needs to make a statement. Right now, it looks like the couch, love seat, and chair were all just plopped down with no real thought or plan, but this is what works well in our space. Would a sofa table behind the couch on the left pull things together? How would an area rug and a coffee table work? Just need some thoughts on what might help pull this look together. Thanks so much!

A: So you are taking this picture from the kitchen and to the left looks like you have a dining area.
I'm not sure how is the space there, but a sofa table or a buffet behind the sofa might help.
For me personally I'd like to know how does the rest of the place look.
A coffee table also will pull the rest of the furniture together, and a rug will look nice.
