We purchased a home in Santa Barbara that was built in the 1980's and was in need of a complete renovation. Jeff created a beautiful rendering of the home and worked with us to transform a boring contemporary home into a Spanish masterpiece. Jeff's creativity, knowledge, and understanding of remodeling were indispensable to the project's success. Jeff has an excellent eye for the right architectural and artistic choices. Jeff is passionate about what he does. We would strongly recommend Jeff to anyone who needs advice regarding any aspect of the design or remodel of all types of real estate. **★★★★★ — jmfsangel, Sept. 2016** > We recently purchased a home that was inspired by Wallace Neff and wanted to add a gated entry but at the same time keep the same feel from the 1920's. Wallace Neff was an architect based in Southern California and was largely responsible for developing the region's distinct architectural style referred to as "California" in the early 1920's. When doing my research I came across Jeff Doubet's work which reminded me of some of the work that Wallace Neff and George Washington Smith would do. I contact Jeff and he was extremely helpful with my project. Jeff then retuned his version of my gated entry in a form art that I personally thought was amazing. Jeff truly has the vision of "Spanish Colonia Revival" and feel that he holds himself to high standards when creating his work. Great company to work with! **★★★★★ — ashleyannd, Feb. 2016** > Fabulous work product, easy and inspiring to work with! We hired Jeff to assist us revamp and update our Spanish Colonial home. Jeff was timely, professional, and incredibly resourceful in helping us. He was mindful of our goals and budget and provided very thoughtful recommendations that incorporated everything and more than we had ever hoped for! **★★★★★ — nscastro59, Feb. 2016** > Working with Jeff was a complete breath of fresh air! We had a general idea of what we thought we wanted in a pool cabana/outdoor living area/fireplace but were so grateful for his vision and design ideas. He listened intently, walked our existing home and property and gave it his touches of sheer magic. We were very impressed with his feel for design, artistic impressions and easy going nature. Hiring Jeff was the best decision we made to help us make our Cabana everything we had dreamed of. **★★★★★ — Patty, Feb. 2016** > To say Jeff is one in a million is not an overstatment. We worked with Jeff on the complete > remodel of our home. If Jeff does not know how to tackle any issue that comes along he > is the first to acknowledge it and then works until he has a perfect solution. One of Jeff's many talents is being able to collaborate with the owner to create a space which not only > reflects Jeff's skill and artistic eye but also that of the owner. It is rare that you find an artist that has practicle skills and talents to apply to the desire to create a space that is artistic and functional. It is inevitable that the project hits points where the tension is high and you > want to pull your hair out. At the end of these stressful moments in the project we could > always laugh and find a way to keep the project moving along. **★★★★★ — ziadreamhouse, Jan. 2016** > Jeff Doubet is one of the most talented and gifted designers in his industry. My husband and I have had the privilege of working with Jeff on several projects, and are always so amazed at the vision he has for each project. His ideas have brought unique, yet classic beauty to even the most unattractive homes. **★★★★★ — casita93108, Oct. 2015** > Jeff Doubet is a visionary. We were so pleased with the design suggestions he brought to our renovation project. His ability to take a run of the mill house and transform it into something special is unparalleled. Additionally, his ability to manage costs and stick within the required budget were both refreshing and appreciated. We would eagerly engage Jeff in another design project, and can't recommend him enough! **★★★★★ — denachachakos, July 2015** > I met Jeff a few years ago at a house in Montecito that I had listed as a Realtor. He came through with a group of investors and he conceptually redesigned the home. I was amazed at how Jeff could walk through a house and transform a non-descript home into something very special. As I stood back and watched Jeff work, I knew that at some point in time I would want him involved in my own future home project. It took me years to get to the point where I could start designing a house. The first person I called was Jeff. I have followed Jeff's work for many years now, and it's always been my wish to have Jeff create and design my home, and I am finally moving forward with it! > > Dena **★★★★★ — dan61193, May 2015** > Jeff Doubet has unique and amazing design skills that I give the highest recommendation possible. Jeff helped me design and build my dream home which I call Casa Corazon. Jeff helped with every design decision including interior and exterior design, selecting materials, colors, landscaping and even the mailbox. It was a four plus year collaboration that I could not have done without Jeff. Every day I enjoy the magic that Jeff created with arches, beautiful tile, hidden surprises, textured walls and custom designed lighting. My teenage kids are even proud to bring their friends around to see the uniqueness of our home. Jeff is one of those rare talents that is very difficult to find. He always exceeded my expectation and he was honest and fair in his billings. I know that he spent more time than he billed me. I give Jeff my highest praises. **★★★★★ — shellcover, April 2015** > Of all the decisions we made when building our house, we have to say the best one we made was to hire Jeff Doubet. We started with an empty piece of land, Jeff was there from the very beginning, standing among the weeds with us, and continued to be there for us every step of the way. He has an eye for design that amazed us over and over again throughout the process. When we couldn't "see" what he was envisioning, he would mock it up for us with things gathered from the job site. One of the most admirable things about him is that he would tell us how he thought something should be, but was willing to listen to our ideas as well, because of this, we ended up with a house that we feel at home in. Designing and building a home is stressful, to say the least, we cannot tell you how much that stress was relieved, knowing that Jeff was just a phone call away. We could go on and on about his design and artistic talents, but in addition to all of those, he is a genuine, honest person, and a pleasure to work with. **★★★★★ — vinnysmom1, April 2015** > We wanted to build a Santa Barbara/Spanish revival style home and after scouring the internet, I found Jeff. Jeff met with us, listened carefully to our wish list, and came up with beautiful renderings and a conceptual floor plan that we loved. Jeff has a great eye for architectural detail and we have relied on him as a consultant on an as-needed basis through all phases of our project. He is very creative and had great ideas on how we could achieve the look we wanted without spending a fortune. The house is almost done and we are thrilled with it. Working with Jeff has been a pleasure. He is professional, easy to talk to, returns calls and emails promptly and has continually made himself available when we need to bounce ideas off of him. I would highly recommend Jeff Doubet if you are thinking about building or remodeling. **★★★★★ — Asociated Painting Co Inc, April 2015** > I’ve been working with Jeff for over three years now and he has helped me create the most amazing property I could have ever imagined. I have been working in construction over the last 24 years and have never met someone with such creativity, knowledge and professionalism. At every stage of the project Jeff exceeded my expectations and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jeff is very talented at troubleshooting problems and always came up with great solutions. His attention to detail plus a dose of humor made it a very enjoyable experience. > Also Jeff is a very talented artist and has created the most beautiful detailed renderings I have ever seen. It is literally like looking at a picture of the final product. Truly amazing and was such a valuable tool in our decision making. > I have and will continue to recommend Jeff to anyone who is looking for a professional home designer. ## Selected projects - [Creating Spanish Style Homes (Book)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/creating-spanish-style-homes-book-pj-vj~5733308) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - Description: A multitude of homeowners have already purchased Creating Spanish Style Homes: Before & After – Techniques – Designs – Insights by author Jeff Doubét.
