> I can't say enough good things about Sarah Kahn Turner and Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath. Sarah was simply amazing every step of the way. She professionally guided us through every step of the process for our kitchen and bath remodel. She has such a good eye when it comes to design and style and came up with suggestions that we never would have imagined ourselves (but completely love). You get what you pay for, and Sarah is clearly worth the investment.

**★★★★★ — Maribeth Lowe, March 2018**

> We loved working with Sarah at Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath. She has tremendous expertise in high-end projects and was very easy to work with. The process was smooth and she worked hard to guide us every step of the way. We ended up removing a wall in the kitchen that we might not have considered without seeing her plans, allowing us now to enjoy beautiful views from every part of the room. We appreciated her close involvement during project execution and her skill at solving any unexpected problem that arose during construction. She went above and beyond in sharing her time and advice every step of the way. Her attention to even the final details like cabinet hardware and lighting produced spectacular results. She is a very talented design professional who ensured that our project was within budget, on time, exceeded our expectations and turned out absolutely beautiful. If you have the opportunity to work with Sarah on your project, you absolutely should!

> Sarah is a talented and imaginative designer. She came up with excellent ideas for our kitchen and added significant storage space in a very constrained condominium kitchen. She came up with a unique idea for a large waterfall counter top which enables us to have additional preparation space as well as seating for three. She is extremely easy to work with and made herself available whenever her presence or opinion was required. Her recommended general contractor was also a great person to work with. I look forward to having her redesign our master bathroom when, or if, we choose to work on it.

**★★★★★ — Marisa Santisi, Dec. 2016**

> Sarah did an amazing job with our kitchen redesign. Not only does our kitchen look modern but it also is much bigger and more functional than before. She was able to look at the space and re-think how it should be used. She was also very helpful in picking colors, tiles, hardware, faucets, and all the details that make the kitchen truly amazing.

> We are so glad we found Sarah Kahn Turner to design our new kitchen. Our kitchen is absolutely gorgeous thanks to her creativity (restructuring a hallway/doorway, for example, to open up the space) and skill. She also achieved the perfect balance of pushing us to consider new options, vs. ensuring that she was meeting our needs and expectations. Our kitchen looks stunning, the cabinets are functional as well as beautiful, and the reclaimed wood beams on the ceiling add the perfect rustic note to finish everything off. Sarah also went above and beyond with her time, advice and help when a few things went wrong during construction. Plus, she's also fun to be around! I only wish I had an entirely new house to remodel so I could get her to help me with that, too.

**★★★★★ — Matt Hagan, Feb. 2016**

> I had the extreme pleasure to collaborate with designer Sarah Kahn Turner at Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath in Bethesda, Maryland. Sarah completely transformed my dull, dated kitchen into a sleek, contemporary space with beautiful cabinetry and state-of-the-art appliances. Her cutting-edge design and “use of space” knowledge allowed me to enlarge my countertop, island and food preparation areas and go the extra mile in outfitting my favorite and most used area in my household with a sophisticated, modern look. She listened to my likes and dislikes and created an elegant culinary living environment where I’m extremely proud to call home. She also created a swank hearth area that marries the kitchen design with a new chic fireplace. Sarah is a very talented designer who has a keen sense of space and awareness of the latest kitchen trends and classic designs. She’s a blast to work with too!

 - Description: Washington, D.C. - Contemporary - Small Condo Kitchen Refresh Design by \#SarahTurner4JenniferGilmer. Our client is the original owner of this downtown condo, built as in-fill project near Logan Circle. He has seen neighbors come and go, watched the neighborhood revitalize, and decided that after 15 years it was his turn to renovate. Living in an open concept, garden level condo meant that we needed to update the finishes and make this kitchen functional, but also look more like an extension of t…

 - Description: Washington DC Transitional Rowhouse Kitchen Remodel Design by \#SarahTurner4JenniferGilmer. Built in 1892, this 124 year old row house had seen its share of renovations, leaving the existing kitchen with a slew of dated, mismatched materials. The kitchen was poorly insulated and cold. Originally, it was a screened-in porch with a brick wall, which was the back of the dining room fireplace. There was a wall of two story floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed for lots of natural light but limited th…

 - Description: Sarah designed this kitchen for a couple who not only love to cook but love to entertain and needed a large kitchen island that would allow several people to work at once. The warmth this family had for each other was easy to pick up in the materials. Rustic, comfortable, approachable and accommodating... and that's just the family!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Copper pot rack** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can I buy the copper pot rack or is it custom made?

A: Hello This pot rack was purchased from La Cornue. Williams Sonoma might still have access to it. Also, there are some on Amazon if you look.

**Q: What color are the cabinets? They look like a bright white?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Cabinet Color

A: The island is Benjamin Moore \#1637 "Manor Blue". The Perimeter is Benjamin Moore \#1611 "Gray Mist"

**Q: Wood countertops** *(in Photo Questions)*

What type of wood, stain and sealer were used for the island counter? It is beatiful.

A: These countertops as Teak wood and made by Grothouse in Pennsylvania.

**Q: Love the Mosaic tile! What is the brand???** *(in Photo Questions)*

What quartz did you use for the island? I love the contrasting counter quartz. What gray quartz is that?

A: The backsplash tile is from New Ravena. Architessa in Bethesda, MD can order it for you. The Island countertops are Caesar Stone Pebble and the Island is MSI Statuary Classique

**Q: Nice hardware! Can you share source name?** *(in Photo Questions)*

It appears these pulls are floating on the cabinet faces while usually this edge type of hardware has to be routed. Thanks!

A: They aren't tab pulls but rather very thin front face pulls that attach to the front of the door and drawer head.

**Q: How did you do the refrigerator panels?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you tell me how you did the refrigerator panels and the materials used? What brand is the refrigerator?

A: the Fridge is a Subzero Column, fully integrated. The panels are custom through the cabinet company and made from ECO Domo faux leather. Same as paneling with wood.
