**★★★★★ — Hampton Plumbing Inc., March 2022**

> Cardinal Crest Homes leads style and design for custom built homes in the KC area. Amazing group of men and women that communicate very well.

**★ — laurenaaker, Jan. 2022**

> I would NOT recommend using Cardinal Crest Homes. I do love what we designed with our architect and that our family gets to live here, but we could have achieved this with other builders.
>
> CC sold us on their well maintained instagram/general aesthetic, the Buildertrend app to help keep us updated and know the money we were spending, and their presentation as experts in the field (It is my opinion there are better people out there). What I found time and time again is that CC lacks experience and expertise in building a completely custom home like ours. Additionally, they spread themselves way too thin across projects so that their employees are covering so many things, they cannot properly follow up, take the right notes, complete orders on time or schedule things in a timely manner. They place tons of blame on their subcontractors, don't monitor their progress or do quality control checks.
>
> Areas of improvement:
> -Communication: CC should create office hours or clear expectations of how to get in touch & what mode of communication is best for ALL involved. Also, I expressed privately to the owner that I felt one of his employees was treating me differently than my husband as an opportunity to improve. Instead he told that employee and then the employee called my husband, not me, to discuss this. Never did they truly try to understand my point of view and up until the end, they dug in that I was wrong. It was the WORST part for me. I know through my own social media that I am not the only woman to feel this way. The only person to be consistent, clear and communicate effectively was the designer. She never made me feel like a burden or annoyance.
> -Clarity of expectations/ following through on their work: CC kept moving from one point person to another - We had 4 project leads in total during the two years we worked with them. CC relied almost completely on us to download the next lead on outstanding items. They would say things were getting done, scheduled, or fixed and while many things did work out just fine, some of the bigger features of our home are low quality.
> -Consistency: We heard from their subs that work was done poorly (including Pella, the floor people, painters). Just because they completed something didn't mean it was done right. CC showed up late to almost every appointment or many times did not show up at all. There came to be a certain speech given at our appointments with them “we want to get this right.” “You are a priority.” “We are working so hard for you.” “The owner and I talk constantly about your home.” Actions didn't show this.
>
> Their number one priority is value over quality - this was shown through almost every milestone within the process. To type all of this would put us well over the 3000 character limit that allowed. This leads me to believe that not only are they not capable of executing a custom home, but completely out of touch as to what good, quality work looks like. Do not recommend.

> We are so happy we connected with Joe, James, Megan and the rest of the Cardinal Crest staff when looking for a builder. This is the 5th house we have built and they have exceeded all of our expectations. We highly recommend Cardinal Crest. You will not be sorry.

**★★★★★ — Heidi Thomas, Aug. 2018**

> We really enjoyed working with Cardinal Crest. Our project manager did a great job ensuring that our home would be built to a high standard. There were many instances in which the staff at Cardinal Crest went above and beyond to ensure we would be happy with our home. They really enjoy what they do and they are sincere in their desire to build a home we would be proud of. Thank you Joe, James, and all the staff at Cardinal Crest Homes!

> We are currently building with Cardinal Crest and close this week. From the minute we met with them, we knew we wanted them to build our house as it was apparent that their quality, designs, and team are exceptional. They have an amazing eye for design and are there to encourage your ideas and guide you when you’re unsure, leading to a stunning final product. Building a house is a stressful and emotional process, but you can be assured that Cardinal Crest will work with you to ensure they build your dream home!

**★★★★★ — R Sullivan, Nov. 2017**

> We are in the process of completing our home build with Cardinal Crest. Their eye for design is apparent in their portfolio and was a huge draw in choosing them as our builder. They customized a floor plan that perfectly fits our needs and is timelessly beautiful as well! They work hard to make every custom home unique and special, bringing together impeccable style and fresh ideas. We love the way our home is coming together -- every day a new detail delights us as we see our dream come to life! I highly recommend Cardinal Crest if you value innovative design, quality workmanship, and collaborating with a fun, creative and super-talented team.

> We picked Cardinal Crest after meeting with several builders. We love their design, their quality craftsmanship and their ongoing communication. **★★★★★ — Chris Asby, Sept. 2017**

> We are having a blast working with Cardinal Crest and their amazing architecture, design, and prroject team! They are all very creative, patient, and super flexible if looking to build a custom home. From the very beginning, they were very organized and transparent with the build process, timeline, and costs and have had a great experience over the last several months. Would highly recommend this company to friends and family and looking forward to moving into our new home this fall!

**★★★★★ — Angela Lanter, Aug. 2017**

> It has been great working with the Cardinal Crest team. They make the daunting task of design and selections comforting and smooth. We appreciated the openness and willingness to make changes the home design. One of the backbones in any business is building a sense of trust with your clients. Throughout our building process I have always felt trust in the Cardinal Crest Team..

**★★★★★ — Michael Hundt, Aug. 2017**

> Cardinal Crest and their team did such a great job listening to our ideas and helping us design a home that is just right for us. We have heard from others that building a home can be a stressful thing but the selection process and ongoing communication from Cardinal Crest has made it so enjoyable. Highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — Jake Lisby, April 2017**

> We hired Cardinal Crest after meeting with several other builders and hearing terror stories of builders. We ultimately chose to go with Cardinal Crest over the others because their process was extremely organized and well managed. We loved working with Adam through the design process and can't wait to move in. Their style was right in line with our more modern tastes and that's difficult to find in our area. We'll continue recommending Cardinal Crest to anyone that is looking to do a remodel, finishing or construction project.

**★★★★★ — rachelshaeffer, Jan. 2017**

> I loved working with Adam and Joe at Cardinal Crest Homes. Their creativity and professionalism helped our dream home become a reality! They listened to our ideas and incorporated them into our design. They did a great job making every square inch of our house functional and beautiful. Our project was finished on schedule and without any major "hiccups". Building a home is an emotional process, and Adam and Joe helped us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the project. I would recommend them to anyone looking to build a home!
