> This company built our retirement house. We love our house but there were several major items on the punch list that were never completed. Our wooden floors buckled from the timing of the installation over a crawl space and there were lot drainage issues. We had a professional flooring company do an evaluation and presented it to this builder and we have yet to receive a response from them. They are not returning our calls or replying to our emails. We are going to be out thousands of dollars to fix these problems and they are in no way our fault.

> Thank You again for letting O'Brien Custom build you custom home in 2014! We strive for your satisfaction and understand your frustration about the hardwood flooring installed in your home. There has been countless correspondence to resolve the issue regarding the cupping of the hardwood installed on the crawl space specified in the drawings supplied to O'Brien Custom Builders. If you wish to have Houzz be our corresponding point, we have no problem with that, but would like to provide our scope, budget and corresponding emails to point out that none of the issues reported here were covered in that scope and that the punch out list was signed off and these issues were noticed months after we completed our punch out. What we would appreciate is the opportunity if you agree, is to show we went above and beyond our scope to provide a crawl space barrier at our cost that was not apart of the budget or scope. Also, the drainage issue you reported was damaged by another contractor NOT contracted by OCB, but hired directly by you. As a courtesy to you and Mr. Russo we repaired the damaged line at our cost and never billed any time and material. Also, please understand that we are not responsible for the infrastructure installed in the community and cannot be held responsible for any drainage issues coming off the street. Regarding the hardwood issue we would like to point out that even 2 years after the installation of the hardwood, that we have offered to supply the labor to sand and finish the areas affected. Again this would be a courtesy, as we feel that again we are going above and beyond and the issues outlined were out of our control. Thank You again for letting us be your retirement home builder and we're thrilled that you "Love your house"!
