> The project took 13 weeks for a contracted 8 week project. The Mukwanago project manager would not install what the Mukwanago designer proposed and priced. Changes were done on the fly. The tile work was poorly done: the tile was poorly laid, the grout was too coarse and two different color grouts were used. As we negotiated a credit for this work, Mukwanago tried to change the warantee period to one year from the contracted 3 years. We requested lien waivers from Mukwonago's subcontractors and it took a letter from my attorney, intervention from NARI and several weeks to receive them.

**Q: Color of Island? Is there a glaze?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It is a light stain with the natural woodwork coming through.  All of our cabinets are custom made to fit your room while maximizing space.  We offer any wood, any paint or any stain you can imagine.  Please feel free to give us a call at 262-788-5919 if we can do anything for you.

A: The tile is from The Tile Shop in West Allis, WI.  It is rain glass silver.  Hope that helps!

**Q: What is the name of and source of stone is on the pillars?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I am unsure of the exact name, but a similar color and style can be found at Halquist Stone in Sussex, WI.

**Q: Warming Drawer?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is this a warming drawer?  If so, who makes it? :)

A: I don't have the manufacturer name, but most all our clients shop for their applicances at Grand Appliance.  We use Bryan Komas at their Wauwatosa, WI location and he can be reached at bkomas@grandapplianceandtv.com

**Q: Living room suggestions** *(in Design Dilemma)*

So our open living room just doesn't flow well... Just painted these cabinets beside fireplace... Should I use both on one side o create a separate living area from the dining area on the opposite side? Or flank each side of fireplace? Any suggestions would be great - especially for the large blank walls would be great...

A: I would also change what's on the mantle.  Something smaller profile in a linear configuration.  Maybe a row of pillar candles or something like that.  This will take your eyes more to the fireplace and less to the mantle itself.  Also, I would remove and cap off the pendant light if you are not going to use the table underneath it.  The cabinets on either side are a little off, stye-wise, with the rest of the room.  If they aren't needed for storage, consider removing them.  I like the minimalist look of the rest of the furniture pieces.  Also I would add a grouping of wall hangings/photos to the right of the fireplace.  The room needs visual height.  The sofa doesn't have to be straight on with the fireplace either, it can be angled to make more room for the dining table.  Hope that helps!
