A: HI they are bifold but we attached to both sides instead of the folding so they open up in the middle ... i am not a bifold fan either... this project was from 2014 **Q: is it ok to have a vaulted kitchen and dining but not family room?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have a 70s contemporary home with A 34x16 vaulted open room. I am designing An addition/renovation for it. The most straight forward design I came up for it would be to put the kitchen and the dining in the big vaulted room with a non vaulted family room off the kitchen. This will be the easiest to build but my concern is that if you have a vaulted room, it should probably be the family room? Does this matter? I have another design with the family room and dining in the vaulted space with the non vaulted kitchen to the side. This is doable just involves building a few extra walls. What do you think, vaulted kitchen but not family room strange or fine? The client folder is already in storage. I’m sorry. **Q: Walk-in shower tile** *(in Flooring)* Hi, I’m in the process of building a new home and we paid an upgrade for a walk-in shower. This is what they did. That transition from the dark hexagons to the shower mud set floor looks odd to me with the white subway tile. I would have continued with the dark hexagons until the edge of the shower. What do you guys think? A: Hi The shower curb is a very specific And well thought out piece of the puzzle when you are designing a shower from scratch. What they selected would not have been my first choice, I would probably rather see a piece of a hard surface that is same as your countertops for the top It’s hard to see from The photos how High it is. In my opinion, it’s not a design we would have specified but it’s also not horrible. It may grow on you so give it time. **Q: Exterior Paint Color Clash with Pool?** *(in Pools & Spas)* We have a "suburban tan" house now, but I'm thinking about going with navy.
