It has been incredibly frustrating in Miami trying to find general contractors or any business to 1) respond 2) show up at all when they say they will 3) provide quality work. They provided excellent advice, an assortment of design options without ever being pushy, and made sure we were always happy with the plans and result. They transformed our outdated, ugly, backyard and pool area into a beautiful space that we love. We had a crumbling outdated pool and a dirty, broken, outdated coral pool patio. They laid down new marble, replaced the pool coping and tile, and built us a great outdoor fire pit. They were at our home constantly ensuring the quality of the work, and checking in with us. > Rene and his crew from Driveways By Design poured a floating concrete slab on top of an existing garage floor that had massive dips (up to 9") and unevenness due to unstable soil and its age (50+ years).  I can't adequately explain how bad this garage floor was before Driveways By Design poured the new slab (imagine the surface of the moon).  We first had the existing concrete floor and soil stabilized with Poly Level structural Foam from Alpha Foundations (another top notch contractor). This stabilized the slab from any future sinking but could not do anything about the massive dips in the floor.  Rene was extremely communicative during the planning process and gave us expert advice on how to fix the problem.  He and his crew arrived promptly on the agreed upon date and completed the project in one day.  They prepared wooden forms, placed a plastic barrier and foam expansion joints, then pumped 5.5 yards of fiber reinforced concrete.  His highly experienced crew leveled and smoothed the new slab and prepared it for a metallic epoxy coating when it cures.  His crew worked nonstop, were polite and cleaned the job site before they left. The floor is now perfectly level, evenly placed steps with added protection against flooding.  We will use Driveways By Design for several future hardscape projects.  The quality of their work and professionalism is second to none.

A: Hi! Thank you for the rating. Sorry for the delayed answer. Yes, you can drive on it. We poured at 4" concrete thickness inside the property and 6" on the swale/approach area, that project was done at 3,500 PSI concrete/fiber reinforced, nowadays we are pouring at 4,000 PSI/fiber reinforced.. Also note that some cities could require 6" concrete thickness inside the property as well. Always check the code. I hope this info was helpful! 🙂
