Water does not bead on top of it. It absorps. The Vadara rep who was sent to diagnose avoided the word 'absorp' like the plague. Wipe coffee with a cloth and it leaves a spot. It doesnt bead, it absorps. Vadara denies any responsiblity for the absorption. They say it 'sinks below the surface.' I let wine, mustard, blue food coloring and balsamic vinegar sit for 4 hrs. I had researched and was told food coloring permanently stains all quartz. Not this one. Within 4 mins I had all stains off just by using dish soap and a Mr. Clean sponge. It was so easy. To my dismay, most stains do not come off after applying cleaners that Vadara recommends in its instructions. I expected Vadara quartz to be low maintenance while in reality, it's the highest maintenance countertop I can imagine! We constantly watch for spills and drops, but we miss them anyway, and then they don't come off. Fortunately, the quartz has veins, so non-circular stains are not very visible. But the circular stains are. Only bleach works to some extent. > > If you are considering this quartz, do not buy it. We are also the sole supplier of sinks via Costco.com, under the same brand name - Hahn. The faucet in the picture is not Hahn and I am not sure which brand it is, since we received this photo from one of our partners who used Vadara quartz for their counter tops as shown here.
