Unfortunately, and due to no fault of Jim, the wood siding on our house does not hold paint for longer than 7-8 years. We originally hired Jim after observing his work on another house in the neighborhood. We were impressed then, and continue to be, with the amount of time and effort that Jim spends on preparing the house before he applies paint. Jim continues to spend significant time in preparation (power washing, applying mildewcide, scraping, sanding, priming and caulking) ensuring that the surface is in the best condition to accept paint. Jim continues to provide outstanding service at a reasonable cost. Jim painted a dark wood plank and beam ceiling in our large family room. The ceiling had originally been varnished and then gray washed. It was dark and the pine knots and holes had to be filled. It took Jim 2 under coats, a lot of patching and finally 2 coats of paint to make the ceiling a smooth creamy white. He completed the job by painting the walls working around the freshly painted woodwork and beams around the room. The work was flawless.
