> Iñaki and Lorena created our dream school in Madrid, Spain. Using our mission, vision, values, and a few other details, they went to work. In a short period of time, the design was complete and the construction began immediately. The project took only three months from design to finish (working through August, which is unheard of in Spain) and we were ready to open just as we hoped in September. English for Fun has already been featured in several international architectural blogs, www.englishforfun.es. Rica Studio completely exceeded our expectations!

> The first time we lived in Madrid we rent a house from RICA STUDIO. We knew the place from seeing it in magazines and tv ads, and even though we loved the design we were a little bit concerned about living in such a contemporary and unconventional place. Our experience in the 3 years we lived there couldn’t be better, the space is just amazing, the natural light, the materials, the experience of the landscape… Every single corner of the house was equally functional and beautiful. When we finished our job commitment in Spain we bought a lot back in Germany and asked Lorena and Iñaqui to design our new home. They nailed it.

> They both have excellent communication skills and were a delight to work with. They proposed a totally different home from the one we used to live in Madrid, but just as amazing. The design fits perfectly our needs, our way of living and most importantly our budget. It will be ready in a year and we can not wait to move in!

> I worked very closely with Iñaqui and Lorena in two of their house projects in Spain. Their way of approaching the design by incorporating their client needs is outstanding. They are always able to work on a new and creative solution without falling into repetition. When working with them, chances are your house will be published in several of the renamed design and architectural magazines.

- [\_ PITCH HOUSE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/pitch-house-pj-vj~2050754)
  - Location: Torrelodones, Spain

  - Description: Pitch house responds equally to the particular family structure of the clients and the vast landscape of El Pardo Valley. The clients needed a house that could work as two separate units but that in the future could become one. Therefore, from the beginning, the two units were conceived as a single project, and although the program for both residences is identical, the layout is asymmetrical responding to the specificities of both families. The boundary between interior and exterior is blurred,…

  - Description: The space should function as effectively as a working space than as a home. The strategy was to minimize partitions in order to maximize flexibility. The result is a continuous working-living space that allows to multiple configurations where kitchen and bathroom are compact and aligned to minimized the visual impact in the working area, and the sleeping area is integrated in the library.

  - Description: A house forced to be split into two separate units as a consequence of the site constrains. The geometry of the boundaries define two similar surfaces strangulated in the middle point. Some rocks and trees are also characteristic in the area and basically forces us due to the lack of space to divide the program into two independent volumes connected by a small bridge. This apparently two dwelling units by means of fragmentation distorts the scale perception. It uses the abstraction of the tradit…

  - Description: A small budget and very restricted regulations led us to take this commission as an opportunity to explore the potential of mobile mechanisms in a small domestic program. We propose a very simple system of revolving walls that would allow the user to expand the house while doubling the maximum surface permitted by regulations. The result is a double enclosure of movable volumes that adapts to the users’ requirements–a primary exterior shell divided in 4 self-supported steel box structures connec…
