We called them to fix it since it was within warranty. They said the warranty doesn't transfer from one owner to the other and slapped us with a $3500 estimate ( without labor,parts details just "service" stated) besides the $125 house call to fix it. We got another company to fix it for a quarter of the estimate . Mostly just annual maintenance, which was always done well. But when I had them replace my water heater, different story. First, the it worked but far worse than previous one so if 2 people showered back to back second one cold. But fundamentally worked so left it. Then during a maintenance visit the technician noticed heavy corrosion at the top of the water heater and told me it was installed wrong. When I explained C&C installed it he was taken aback but said he’d tell the office and they’d fix it. Weeks past with no call and then a plumber there for something else pointed out same thing – that poorly installed and I should have someone fix it. I called C&C and when they came first said unit old so had to be out of warranty because C&C never installs units more than a year old. Checked and turns out they did install an older unit. Then he backtracked and said I was still out of warranty so would have to pay. Turned out still in warranty so then a new excuse that wasn’t covered by warranty so didn’t matter and if tried to fix could break unit and then I’d have to pay for service and to buy a new one! Said no way and I wanted to speak with a manager so he left. No one called back. I then called 4-5 times over a couple months and each time was told a manager would call back. Not one call so now I am done with them. All friendly and good for regular annual maintenance but don’t stand behind their work and clearly try to avoid dealing with it. **★★★★★ — gar1026, Sept. 2022** > Called because my thermostat was not working. Started to having issue (frost formed on the pipe of outdoor unit, ice on the indoor coil) last week just three years later. Called C&C on Sunday, tech came in on Tuesday, insisted my outdoor unit was dirty, needed to be cleaned (extra cost \> $500 on top of the $125 visit charge) in order to start to measure the pressure of refrigerant. We asked how much we may have to pay in order to get the AC back and running and he had no idea. Special thanks to Juan and Hemi who explained the entire job before they even started, protected the floor, surrounding area and even their shoes before they started work. They worked diligently doing the furnace installation stopping every so often to answer my questions. > After they completed the installation, they ensured it ran perfectly including the AC they didn't install, and cleaned up the area and took their trash away with. They also explained the work they performed and how the furnace worked before leaving. I now have a contract with C&C and I plan to be a customer for a long time. **★★★★★ — Warren Oley, Feb. 2019** > Needing replacement and re-positioning my thermostat, I contacted C&C after speaking with one of their service techs (Shane) who was working in my neighborhood. The tech was very helpful by answering questions I had regarding thermostats. C&C service tech Tim Badgley stopped by my home for the installation, but prior to doing this, he surveyed my condo and made some suggestions regarding the installation which saved me a few dollars. The installation went quickly - Tim was very professional with his work, was pleasantly conversational and cleaned up what little debris remained. He also gave me a thorough explanation regarding the programming and use of the smart thermostat. > > I am totally satisfied with C&C's work and will use them again if I have future needs. **★ — P Ferro, Sept. 2018** > While my AC condenser unit was aging, I have been told by many service representatives that my heating system was the Cadillac of systems. In June this summer my AC unit stopped blowing cool air. This has happened in past years too. I called C&C to come service it and when Jason came to visit, he said we needed a new capacitor. He clearly didn’t check it before leaving because when I got home, the AC was no longer blowing any air and the house was 78 degrees! I called back only to be told someone would be out the next day. I decided to get another option from a different company my sister used. I learned that the condenser needed Freon (R22) not a capacitor and that it was expensive to replenish the system that I should consider replacing the unit. I did some of my own research and called back C&C and spoke to Long. I advised him that I learned not only did Jason break my unit by installing a capacitor, it needed Freon and my electrical air filter had its guts removed and a disposable filter put in its place (this was something I was charged for changing per my multi-year service contract). I told him I was going with a new company and that his guys can come back to get the part they installed that completely broke my system because now there was NO AIR at all coming from the system. This all during the first summer heat wave. Now I HAD to get a new system! Long didn’t send the men back and now is refusing to refund the money I paid for my service contract as well as the part they replaced that didn’t need replacing. I don’t like writing reviews that aren’t positive, however this company has mistreated a long standing customer and has no regard for doing the right thing. I would no longer recommend them unfortunately. **★ — B Mahadevan, July 2018** > When they installed they made lot of promises but when the township inspection happened we found their work was sub standard and failed the inspection on multiple counts. The forms that were submitted were incorrect and they even cut corners and missed on lot of the codes. After the run around given by the customer service they sent tech who did nothing and said he had no clue what issue needed to be resolved and promised that the next person will fix the issue. The next tech came (Tim) who was worse - extremely rude, obnoxious and unprofessional. He said he had no clue about the issue and had no tools to fix the issue and so the next Tech will need to fix the issue. After getting the run around I have complained to COSTCO and to other agencies about this company.
