> Professional, on time, quality work. Needed work done in a smalltime frame, project successfully completed in time frame. Will use again and will recommend to others.

> Jon responded to my telephone call, made an appointment and was right on time. He gave us an estimate for the job and told us when he would start and finish. He was on the job the day he said he would be there and completed the job promptly. He explained what he was going to do and then showed us what he did to accompish the project. He was friendly and efficient. I would recommend Jon to anyone who is looking for a job done well.

> He did great to start. He then said we had mold and was going to charge me an extra 500 dollars. I still have mold after he was done and refused to refund our money or make any corrections. He walked off with 3000 dollars of mine. He worked about 6 hours. I gave him a 3000 dollar deposit and he has yet to do the work.

**Comment from Jon Clayton Construction and Remodeling:**

> My company Jon Clayton Construction and Remodeling LLC was recently posted about concerning a basement room remodel. I would like to state my side. I received a $3000 deposit on a room remodel that I estimated at $6000. Room was to be gutted. Then framed, insulated, and vapor barrier on the two exterior walls. Drywall the ceiling and walls. Install flooring. The tear out was paneling, shelves, and partial framed and drywalled exterior wall. Upon removing drywall and framing. My worker and I found Black Mold and chipping paint. I Informed Home owner at that time of what we found. I told her she would have to clean it herself or I would clean it but I would charge an additional $500 to help cover PPE and labor. She agreed to having me clean the wall (which was a 4x8 ft area on the north wall). At that point we left the room and tried not to disturb mold until we tented the area the next day. The next day my worker and I arrived and tented the area, tried to create a negative pressure environment, put on PPE gear, put floor pads down to prevent cross contamination, cleaned, and put contaminated material in plastic bags. Upon finishing we removed all contaminated materials and left the plastic tenting draped across the wall to keep fume levels down. Later that day I received numerous calls from customer complaining that there was tape across her fuse box. I went back to the customers house and tried to explain why the plastic and tape was their but she would not listen. She said she didn’t want me to do any more work and she wanted a refund. I told her I would return her deposit minus $1100 the cost of tear out and mold abatement. She agreed and insisted that I get her money immediately. I informed her I didn’t have my checkbook so I left and went back to my office to write her out a check. I then returned and handed her the check for $1900. She at that point told me she wanted $2500 back and crumpled up the check and threw it in my truck window. I then attempted to leave and she came and hooked her body on the window frame of my truck trying to force me to look at pictures on her phone. Again, I asked her to stop and except the refund check. Again, I handed her the check and again she crumpled it up and threw it in my truck. At that point I left.
