## Selected projects

- [The Checkerboard](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-checkerboard-pj-vj~7955687)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 14
  - Description: The lot was big and sloped with tired concrete front and back, and the homeowner wanted something nobody else has. We cut a checkerboard field from hexagon pavers with custom inlay cuts, built a fireplace flanked by two water features, and stacked lit retaining walls, steps, and landings to hold the hillside. Out front we put in a custom paver walkway and replaced the driveway with new concrete and black stamped edges. Honestly, it's some of the coolest paver work we've ever done.
- [The Travertine Revival](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-travertine-revival-pj-vj~7955692)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 14
  - Description: The old pavers around this pool were failing. We ripped them out and rebuilt the whole poolscape in travertine. The dead upper deck across from the pool became a flagstone walkway wrapped in turf that the kids jump off of, and we added a turf side yard for the dog and a putting green.
- [The Night Green](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-night-green-pj-vj~7955691)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 18
  - Description: The concrete around this pool was ugly and nothing about the yard made you want to be out there after sunset. We hauled off the old concrete, gave the pool new plaster, tile, and coping, and laid travertine and turf decking. The staircase got travertine bullnose and turf strips, the upper slope got a putting green with natural stone walls matched to the existing ones, and we lit the whole yard so it actually gets used after dark.
- [The Jefferson Park Lakeside Rebuild](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-jefferson-park-lakeside-rebuild-pj-vj~7955681)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 23
  - Description: This Jefferson Park home had a leaking pool and a concrete deck that held water instead of draining. We stripped it all back, brought the pool back with new plaster and safety steps, and replaced the concrete with a white porcelain patio that finally drains. Turf inlays, an outdoor kitchen, and a putting green finished it out.
- [Two Builds, One Yard](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/two-builds-one-yard-pj-vj~7955693)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 16
  - Description: The first job here was tearing out old concrete and building a paver patio with a custom border, plus a pergola over a herringbone paver area. Years later the homeowner called us back to rebuild the deck. We stripped it down, rebuilt it from new framing up in composite, and put lighting in the stairs and post caps.
- [The Jumping Rock](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-jumping-rock-pj-vj~7955689)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 33
  - Description: Another company set the gunite pool and left the yard around it blank. We laid travertine pool decking and a raised patio with steps, then brought in massive boulders and shaped one into a fire pit and one into a jumping rock right in place. Sandstone steps carry the drop from the patio down to the lawn.
- [Snowflakes in the Smokies](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/snowflakes-in-the-smokies-pj-vj~7955684)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 19
  - Description: This is the Christmas courtyard at The Inn at Christmas Place. Lucas Lagoons designed the pools and everything around the water is ours. We fixed the drainage first, then built the pool coping, retaining walls, paver and porcelain hardscape, artificial turf, sunken fire pits, and fiber optic snowflakes lit into the hardscape so it feels like Christmas all year.
- [Reborn at Tennessee National](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/reborn-at-tennessee-national-pj-vj~7955683)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 10
  - Description: One patio was cracked stamped concrete and the one next to it was worn flagstone, and the two never matched. We tore both out and rebuilt them as one surface across two levels in Unilock Bristol Valley pavers with a double row Basalt Copthorne border. Low walls, steps, and landings tie the levels together, and lighting in the steps makes it safe to walk after dark.
- [Indoors at the Smokies](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/indoors-at-the-smokies-pj-vj~7955679)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: The indoor pool deck at The Inn at Christmas Place pitched back toward the water, so every splash ran right back into the pool. Instead of grinding it down and skim coating it, we raised the entire pool about three inches so the new deck drains away into new floor drains. We repaired the plumbing leaks, shot a pebble finish in the pool and spa, and laid travertine decking with a burnt clay border, new coping, waterline tile, and lighting. The same travertine carries into the bathrooms.
- [Golden Hour Retreat](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/golden-hour-retreat-pj-vj~7955676)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 14
  - Description: The pool was dated but sound, so we kept the shell and reshaped it for how the family actually swims. We raised the deep end from 8 feet to 5 and wrapped a bench all the way around it. We also did new plaster, tile, and coping, swapped the failing pavers for travertine with a Unilock border, rebuilt the stone around the spa and fixed its leaking lines, and added a slide and all new automated equipment.
- [Gettysvue After Dark](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/gettysvue-after-dark-pj-vj~7955674)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 22
  - Description: The old patio on the Gettysvue golf course was small and drained badly. We extended the deck on Techo Bloc pavers and added a hot tub with a spillover, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, and an aluminum fence. Most of this yard gets used after dark, so we laid out the low voltage lighting first and built everything around it.
- [Blountville Modern](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/blountville-modern-pj-vj~7955667)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 15
  - Description: The old poolscape was outdated, the deck was breaking down, and the homeowner wanted something modern that would actually stand out. The lot was dead flat, so we built real elevation into it with a sunken fire pit and a custom stacked stone veneer retaining wall. Every MSI porcelain paver was set by hand, then we added turf inlays, a brand new Trex deck, cap lights, and color changing LED strip lighting for after dark.
- [A Sea of Travertine](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/a-sea-of-travertine-pj-vj~7955668)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 8
  - Description: Another contractor built the pool and the hardscape came to us. We set over 4,000 square feet of travertine decking with custom inlays and borders so a deck that big would not read as one flat slab. The client kept calling us back, so phase two was a custom outdoor kitchen and phase three was an outdoor fireplace.
- [Fire & Water at Rarity Bay](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/fire-and-water-at-rarity-bay-pj-vj~7955671)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 12
  - Description: A retired couple on Tellico Lake wanted a pool without a fence chopping up their view. We built a gunite pool and spa with an automatic safety cover so no fence was needed, plus a linear gas fireplace and three copper scuppers. The travertine is set in thinset over a poured concrete base, and over a hundred feet of travertine walkway runs from the patio down to the dock. Stone walls that match the house give them privacy, and cap and step lighting runs through both levels.
- [Elevated in Kensington](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/elevated-in-kensington-pj-vj~7955669)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 9
  - Description: This backyard in the Kensington community off Northshore Drive had good bones and tired finishes. We took it down to bare ground and rebuilt it around the pool with new waterline tile, a porcelain overlay across the whole pool deck, and a multi level composite deck with a black aluminum cover and cable railing. A stacked stone gas fire pit, a custom putting green with boulder seating, and a new equipment shed with automation finished it out.
- [Price](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/price-pj-vj~6451367)
  - Location: Knoxville, TN
  - Photos: 4
  - Description: This is how you keep it classic and still make it pop. We came in behind a local pool builder and dialed in the details—tile and coping on the pool, plus elegant travertine decking to keep the look timeless. Then we added a bold modern edge with large-format travertine and turf inlay. Every cut is tight. Every line is clean.
- [Summers](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/summers-pj-vj~6451031)
  - Location: Knoxville, TN
  - Photos: 10
  - Description: Full transformation mode. We stripped this pool down and rebuilt it from the ground up—plaster, tile, coping, and deck—all brand new. Then we went beyond the basics with dedicated lines for water features and fire bowls/fire table, plus LED lighting routed through the pool wall for a clean, seamless look. That’s the Morales Touch.
