It was new construction and settlement occurred in November of 2021. At that point Dave and his team were on top of things. While they worked on acquiring necessary permits, we were scheduled at the design studio. During the permitting process Dave kept us up to date on all progress, changes, revisions, and statuses. He was very honest and accurate with the timeline and approximately 3-4 months after settlement we had our preconstruction meeting and the team broke ground the first week of May. The entire construction process was transparent and efficient. Every week we received updates which is just the most refreshing practice and provided a great sense of comfort. Dave went above and beyond for us; in one instance in September as we our nearing the end, Dave updated us that BGE would not be able to install our transformer and get electricity to the house until mid October which would delay floor installation. However a week or so later, Dave contacted us, and had went to bat for us during a meeting, and within a few days we had the transformer on site and was back on schedule. That kind of dedication to your client is what makes this company unbelievably great. During the entire process, Dave Lunden and Dave Lusby were very accommodating to our additional requests and was very upfront with pricing and where we were at in the budget during construction. I also have to commend the attention to detail and picking up on issues that I honestly might never had noticed, and addressing them quickly. Overall construction moved along very quickly and we were really impressed with the progress and quality of the work. We recently received the keys and are so grateful for the efficient, detailed, and beautiful work the team has accomplished. We actually hired them the day after we fired our first builder. We built a ~4600 square foot waterfront home on the Chesapeake Bay (subject to all the critical area laws and regulations). The most difficult part of our build was the land we had picked. It was a wetland which couldn't even support the weight of a car without it sinking. Timberlake DB worked directly with our engineers and their own soil expert in an extremely detailed manner to determine the most effective and cost efficient way to build on this lot. They addressed the soil bearing capacity issues as well the high water table in a way that now you wouldn't even know we built on a wetland. Our first builder told us we couldn't even build on this lot and Timberlake took over worked with us every step of the way and delivered a home that exceeded our expectations in every way. > > Aside from the site work and the difficulty building on this lot Dave and the design team went above and beyond to accommodate some changes we wanted to their standard model. The pricing was known upfront and was fair for everything we changed. We added windows, moved doors and walls where we wanted and it all turned out exactly as planned. Even some of the smallest changes were available such as installing a high rise garage doors to make room for a automotive lift in the future. > > During construction again the Timberlake team delivered. During construction I was stopping by the house often and checking on progress. Once construction started it moved along very quickly and I was kept in the loop on any delays. There were no delays through the entire project as a result of Timberlake, they scheduled and worked as promised. I pointed out issues as we went through the construction process with minor things that arose and the team worked to fix them as they occurred so that during our final walkthrough only minor touch ups were needed. > > The last thing that has stood out to my wife and I is the support we have gotten from the team after the completion of our house. Andy and Dave did a fantastic job explaining all of our homes systems to us, the warranties we have and who to reach out to with any issues. The color is Essex Green by Benjamin Moore. It is a very dark green, can even appear almost charcoal in some lighting.
