> At the end of 2015, my husband and I and two children bought a house that was about 1/4 of the way built. On one hand it was exciting, we could pick out every detail and make the house exactly what we wanted it to be. On the other hand, completely overwhelming. It was a huge job and I couldn't do it alone. After admiring Brian Watford's work I had seen in design magazines, I was lucky enough to be able to hire him to execute the enormous task of bringing our house together and making it all I imagined it would be.

The job was bigger than I ever imagined.

Your designs are beautiful!

A: Thank you!  The tile is from Ann Sacks and I believe the manufacturer is Oceanside, one of their Tessera blends.  This was in a show house we did in 2004 for Southern Accents and I can't find the exact name of the tile.

I love the benches? Can you tell me what they are made of and perhaps manufacturer?

I notice that you use both horizontal and vertical paneling  in your home . What is your feeling about using both ? Are there any dos and don'ts regarding that? Thx

A: I really like both so I use both...there's no right or wrong.  I do prefer horizontal if I want a more modern look.
