A visit to the store secured that interest. The store displays an enormous variety of options; they had a warm & willing but non-pushy staff; & offered us the option of an in-home consultation with a designer. > Megan came to our home where we shared our thoughts about what we needed. Then we met with her in the store where she shared some ideas to meet our needs. She was patient with negotiations between my partner & I over the differences in our vision. We made a contract & she ordered materials, supervised the installation process including several visits over the several days, and held my hand when angsty! We think she is terrific! > The installers, Pavel & Yuriy were also excellent. They listened well to any questions & concerns, and when we left them to do what they do, did it beautifully! > All in all, highly recommend Classique. Judith, Owner **★★★★★ — lonny92, June 2016** > Mark our sales person was awesome to work with. being in the construction industry myself i know how difficult it can be to control all the details from material lead times, product application limitations to subcontractor management.. he somehow turned a process i was really dreading going through into one i enjoyed. we did a complete house remodel with hardwood floors, tile, slab counters, and carpet in some areas. the process went as it was suppose to and he was always available to answer questions and would even just check in from time to time to see how things were progressing. he even got us to try a cork product in the laundry room that at first we were skeptical of, but ended up one of the choices we were the most happy with. we cant say enough good things about him and the rest of the team at Classique. thank you. **Comment from Classique Floors:** > Hi Lonny, Thank you for your wonderful review. We made our selection for new kitchen countertops and flooring and scheduled time for work to be done. Mark even came out and introduced the workers to us when they arrived. Mark, countertop guy, did an incredible job of removing the old laminate and decking and making new decking and adding laminate. He was meticulous, skilled, cleaned up each day after he was done, and a pleasure to have here. We love the countertops!! Then the guys for the flooring came with Mark introducing them to us. Can you give more info please? **Q: Best vacuum for stone floor** *(in Design Dilemma)* What is the best vacuum for stone floor A: I don't know that there would be a bad vacuum for stone floors. The only concern I can think of is you don't want to have any metal or sharp items stuck in a beater bar that would scratch the floor as it spins around. Good luck. ;) **Q: 6 inch solid oak or wide plank engineered?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am redoing 2,000 square feet in a very modern house with 40 ft atriums and all white walls. I can't decide whether to go 6 inch solid white oak or high end engineered flooring from Baltic Wood -- no bevel and beautiful. My gut tells me solid oak but everyone practically speaking the engineered is easy and less susceptible to weather/cupping/expanding/etc..... Any advice? Also does anyone have experience w Baltic wood company? A: Engineered hardwood will be more stable due to the many layers set with the grain running in alternating directions. When expanding and contracting, as wood will do with changes in temperature and moisture, the layers will work against each other and leave you with a more stable floor.
