We wanted to convert our tub/shower combo into a curbless walk-in shower and add attractive, functional storage space. In the process, we wanted to focus on safety without compromising on style. Ebony delivered on all counts – and then some! Ebony has the engineering and technical skills and design aesthetic we needed to achieve all of our remodeling goals. We undertook this project in the height of the pandemic, with all of its attendant supply and workforce shortages. Fortunately, Ebony does an incredible job of maintaining good relationships with suppliers and tradespeople and staying up to date on product selections and availability. She kept our project on track while fulfilling our design wishes. Ebony brings to any project – and I can’t stress this enough – her depth of knowledge about products and their proper use and installation. She knows how to make a space not only beautiful, but also safe and functional. Our master bathroom now has flooring that is gorgeous while being slip-resistant. The same large format tiles line the walls of the shower, but for the shower floor she had the contractor cut them into smaller tiles to increase the grout lines and thereby improve traction for wet feet. The towel rods and toilet paper holder she recommended are properly installed grab bars that coordinate with our faucets and shower fixtures and are as beautiful as they are practical. The total result is a bathroom that is safe for someone with physical limitations without giving off any sort of “hospital” vibe.
