## Community Q&A

**Q: Bad tile that cannot be removed** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello.

I have some bad kitchen tile that cannot be easily removed because it runs under all of the cabinetry.

My original plan was to replace it with hardwood or slate, darken the floors to a walnut, paint the cabinets white, add a white stone countertop, and paint the walls.

That is all thrown out the window now because that ugly orange tile cannot be removed so I am looking for opinions....

Keeping this tile what color can I restain the floors? What do I do with the cabinets? Leave them? Paint them? In general my whole color scheme goes out the window.

Or do I just wait, save the money and eventually just replace the whole kitchen?

There is a picture of the kitchen attached.

A: Sorry, I don't, but now you know what you want and how it can be done, so I suggest calling installalers and telling them you are looking for someone to remove the tile that way, and you will find someone. You have a beautiful kitchen, and I think your plan will look very nice. Defineatly no tile over tile..
