> Donnally Architects remodeled the daylight basement and outdoor patio in my West Seattle home.  The lower level of the home went from a dark and dated pine paneled wood theme to a stunning mid century modern space.  An entire wall of dark paneling was removed and replaced with a full wall of windows (floor to ceiling) bringing the outdoors in, along with lots of light.  I would highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for great design principles and qualify craftmanship.

> We hired Donnally Architects to help us with a remodel in our 1911 home.  The project included adding a master bath and remodeling the existing bathroom on the second floor.  We had no idea how to apportion the space and incorporate the features we wanted.  We even consulted with various professional friends.  It took Bruce Donnally to come up with the perfect plan!  We appreciated Bruce's keen architectural eye and his tireless attention to detail.  At one point during construction, the contractors installed the door to the new bathroom off center in the new wall they were building.  On our own, we might have been inclined to overlook that flaw, but, Bruce intervened on our behalf.  The wall was re-built and the door installed in the proper place.  I mentally thank Bruce everyday for not allowing that mistake to stand.  We love our master bath.  It's perfect in every way, thanks to Donnally Architects.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Bath renovation** *(in Photo Questions)*

Please what is the counter top material?  I like the matte finish.

A: The countertop and tub sills are all 3 cm natural stone slabs with a honed finish.  I believe the stone is a variety of limestone.

**Q: Can you advise what external panel materials are used here?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The Parklex still looks great.  I believe a 4x8 sheet is about $350, plus shipping (from Spain).

**Q: Floors** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, I'm wondering who did the floors. Are they concrete or an alternative applied surface?

A: The floors are natural concrete with integral dark grey color, then ground.  Not a topping.

**Q: What is this wood siding?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: clear vertical grain fir, 1x6 boards.

**Q: Question about counter and stove** *(in Photo Questions)*

Great kitchen. what is the depth of the counter where the stove is. And do you know the depth of the stove as well?

A: The stove is a Bertazzoni, which is counter top depth- 25 1/4" from rear to front lip.

A: All the furniture was staged for the sale of the house.
