Joe was very thorough in doing preparation work, something that no one will see once the work is done but cannot be underestimated for the durability and quality. He didn't stop at "being good enough", but rather, do what is right and what is necessary. Yet, Joe was watchful for my budget and would advise when more expensive materials could be replaced by equally good quality ones but less expensive.
