> April 9 2021 I signed the Milestone customer expectation agreement. On May 4th the granite was installed. Overall, I would say my granite fabrication and install, looks beautiful. I have attached  photos of the end result. Yet, I have mixed feelings and I am subtracting one star for the following two reasons: David Gerdes, sales representative, increased the price quoted by 12%. He said he made a calculation mistake. Per the above agreement, "All initial pricing is based on dimensions provided by the customer." Pricing will to be adjusted according to actual square footage of the countertop area after the template. However, I sent very detailed photos of the area with a tape measure show the exact dimensions. (I am attaching a few more photos representative of what was sent). These were also accompanied by a diagram representing the layout of my counter tops. It may have been an honest mistake, but 12% is a fairly large increase in price given what was provided. Issue \#2, the installer was surprised that he and I were not informed that an overhang of granite at the bar was present and needed support brackets due the weight of the granite. It became apparent that the brackets had to be installed as the drywall below the overhang began cracking. Typically, such brackets are installed inside the cabinetry as to be hidden, at the time of granite installation. Since we did not know in advance it was too late to get them on the day of the installation. Therefore, he suggested I have them installed later. So a less than ideal installation, the brackets will not be hidden but visible requiring cutting of cabinet molding and additional expense for materials, drywall repair and installation.
