## Community Q&A

**Q: Is the bluestone slippery? Would it be good for decking around a pool** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We install dimensional bluestone (such as the photo above) on a regular basis and I'd certainly recommend it for the area around a pool.  Bluestone is more durable than slate, and slate is significantly more slippery.  The picture above is natural cleft bluestone.  You can also get a thermal finish which is when a flame is put to the stone and gives it a consistent  non-skid texture.
