Nicole created a perfect design, which I must say, at first we did not think would work. She was so patient and gave us a few work arounds. Her goal was to give us the kitchen of our dreams. We were doing all the work ourselves and she helped us plan an IKEA kitchen. I embarrassingly admit her initial vision was the correct one! The long, beautiful functional island has given us a place to take our coffee/lunch breaks as we now continue to work through our entire house. It is the jewel in a beautiful crown of a kitchen!

Nicole’s initial meeting was extensive and went over how we perceived ourselves living in our soon to be new floor plan of Reno’s and addition. From that meeting Nicole was able to give us a detailed floor plan that included everything from a kitchen plan with locations for plates, bbq tools and kids lunch Tupperware to fitting furniture into our small livingroom. From the initial design to completion of the renovations, Nicole was able to make suggestions and changes based on how things were progressing with the construction site. Nicole’s attention to design and details was always present and can be shown in the final product with everything being exactly the way we wanted it! Our visions was lacking in the beginning but Nicole directed us to what was a house and decor that was exactly the representation of our style!

**Q: Beautiful! What color of paint is used on the island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the same paint color used on the island and the wall? The walls and island are beautiful colors.

A: Thank you for your question! No the island and walls are different colours. The walls were Benjamin Moore- Revere Pewter and the island was a custom colour to coordinate.

**Q: What material is the backsplash? Where can I get it in Oshawa** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the small tiles and colour.

A: Good Day and thank you for the inquiry! This job was completed in 2010 in Oakville, so unfortunately the company in which the tile was purchased is in Oakville. However it is a natural marble tile backsplash that can be very easily sourced within the Oshawa area! I great place which I would recommend going to is Ritson Tile! Show Anna @ Ritson Tile this photo and I am sure she will be able to find a tile that is very similar!

A: Hello and thank you for the inquiry! This lovely sofa chaise was purchased as a custom piece from Urban Barn....its called the "Sofia" and comes in a variety of configurations as well as fabrics!!!
