> We hired Greg Rapp at the earliest stages of our project to add a major addition to our vacation home. He helped us conceive the project, provided guidance on balancing design theory and practicality and ultimately provided a first rate set of initial plans. Greg was imaginative and, when we requested changes or additions, very flexible in helping us get to the final plans. He was especially helpful in working with the builder to bring the project to completion. He was extremely efficient and timely, and we never had to follow up about the production of the initial plans or changes that we discussed. Greg is great to work with and got along very well with all of the other players on the project. We couldn't have done this project without him.

> To whom it may concern
>
> In 2009, we purchased a two family home in Newton, MA, and developed our plan to convert this property into a single family home. We interviewed five different architects and decided to hire Greg Rapp to help us with our architectural planning and design.
>
> He was Excellent !!!!!!!
>
> He spent time understanding our needs as a family and was able to translate these needs into an exceptional design. His plans were detailed and complete. He was always available and prompt with any questions that came up through the entire process. He worked very well with the structural engineer and contractors that were employed in our project.
>
> I can only give him the highest reccomendation :)

> Greg Rapp is not only an excellent architect, but an extremely thoughtful and gracious person. He is a great listener, and paid close attention to the (sometimes idiosyncratic) wishes of my husband and me; he also was able to explain and clarify his decisions and design concepts in ways that we were able to understand. He worked well and easily with our GC, and was a great liaison with Timberpeg. He worked efficiently and kept the process moving in a timely way.
> Greg was always able to come up with creative solutions to design problems that we could not figure out. He was patient, good-humored, and easy to be with. We could not recommend him more highly.
>
> Unfortunately, the wonderful, unique, personalized house that Greg designed for us between June and December 2011 was never built - shortly before the day of ground-breaking, my husband had a stroke.
> All plans were suspended, and a few weeks later we cancelled the project which was a huge disappointment to everyone.

  - Description: The clients for this second home in Vermont wanted an addition that took advantage of a beautiful 10-acre site with views toward Stratton Mountain to the south. The program called for a media room and enclosed porch at the first floor, and a new master bedroom suite on the second floor. The solution was an addition at the back of the house, creating an L-shaped structure projecting towards the open meadow to the east. This afforded sweeping views of the mountain and insured ample daylight to all…

  - Description: The timber-framed addition to this house is almost double the size of the original house. The clients were merging families and needed a much larger home, and the wish list included a kitchen open to a large great room, front porch and entry foyer, two-car garage, and additional bedrooms on the second floor. The challenge was to integrate the small existing house with the larger addition, and was accomplished primarily with similar siding materials, window styles and rooflines. The second floor…

  - Description: This new house near Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire is a hybrid timber-frame and stick-built structure. Designed as a replacement for a sprawling vacation house lost to fire, this home sits in a meadow surrounded by woods. The clients desired a large great room and entertainment space that was lacking in the original house, and the solution was a 28-foot square timber framed kitchen/dining/living space with exposed trusses supporting the high vaulted ceiling. The rear of the house is conventionall…

  - Description: This is a craftsman style residence that was renovated over a period of years. Originally a one-story raised ranch with few windows looking out to the rear yard, this house has been transformed in phases. Ceilings were vaulted, French doors installed and windows relocated and added early on. The rear deck was added and the kitchen renovated in the next phase. The biggest change was the addition of the second floor master bedroom suite, which included his and hers walk-in closets, a vaulted ceili…
