(Unbelievably Rare in Home Renovation) > This is the third house we have remolded. This is the only satisfying experience we have ever had with a contractor. These guys are super nice, knowledgeable, & very trustworthy. > My husband and I hired Watermark & Company for a whole house renovation in summer, 2016. We were very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them. The two factors that were the most important to us were that the budget stay within the predicted range and that the project be finished on time for us to get our little girl settled into her room before the first day of Kindergarten. I was thrilled to find that the cost of the project was what they predicted, plus a handful of extras that we chose to add as we proceeded through the project. And most important of all – we moved back in one week before Kindergarten! A week early! Everything else was good as well. The crews they hired to work on the house were professional and skilled. JC and Louis coordinated the different teams brilliantly – there was always a team at work on something, and the different crews moved through like clockwork. As anyone who has lived through a major renovation can attest, there are hundreds of little decisions that must be made during the project. Louis was always readily available to advise us, and his advice was consistently good. The finished result was better with his recommendations. Both JC and Louis were always available and always pleasant. I can’t recommend them highly enough. The project was primarily an upgrade with a small amount of structural work. They took the time upfront to understand exactly what we were looking for and made suggestions if the initial plan didn't exactly work out. They were flexible and willing to work with us on using an outside vendor for the cabinets in order to keep to the budget. They were extremely responsive to both phone calls and emails and kept us in the loop on all change orders, timing changes, etc. The project was finished ahead of the stated 10 week time frame and while there were additional change order charges, they were upfront with us about it before we signed the contract. They are organized and showed up when they said they would and kept us informed every week on what would be done. Above all, the quality of the work was exceptional and they made sure that everything met our expectations at every stage of the process. Last year, we decided to turn our enclosed deck into an office, adding an extra living space, updating our living room to make it safer for our child, and replacing old windows. Looking at our needs, we knew that we had to find a qualified contractor. We contacted several contractors and made it clear to them that we would want the addition to look like as if it had been built as part of the original house. We also wanted to have a high ceiling (9 ft or more) in the new addition room. Due to the shape of our roofing, most of the contractors said that it couldn't be done. On the contrary, Mike Paclik owner of Watermarks & Co, rose to the challenge and proposed to make an open floor plan concept from our existing dining room to the additional spaces with high ceiling. Noticing that the additional rooms would get a lot of sunlight during the day, he put out a design that could reduce the heat transfer from the outside to the inside of the house. He came up with design ideas that were within reasonable budget. Hence, we decided to go with him. > > During the renovation process, Mike would come to check on the progress everyday and updated us on the progress. When we stumbled on some design problems, he would give some ideas based from his experience, which suitable for our taste. He also addressed all of our concerns in a timely manner. His team cleaned up the mess very well. It enabled us to stay in the house during most of the renovation. Mike’s attention to detail is outstanding. He would have finished the project on time, if we didn't keep giving him more tasks to do. The end result is amazing! Our house is much more comfortable, more energy efficient and more airy. Despite being our biggest renovation project ever, Mike and his team made it possible for the process to go smoothly and painlessly.
