**★★★★ — kbraunstover, Nov. 2016**

> We selected Reliance for our kitchen remodel project. We completely gutted our kitchen, relocated appliances and knocked down a wall to open up the space and extend the kitchen area. From the beginning, we were impressed with Behrooz and his team's creativity and ability to bring our vision to life. Behrooz took time to understand what we liked and applied that knowledge in making recommendations about colors, fixtures, backsplash, etc that fit exactly what we were looking for. The finished remodel is fantastic. We have been so excited to have our family and friends over to see the new kitchen we always get rave reviews of the design and work.
>
> The only reason for the 4 star review is that the project took 11 weeks to complete compared to the 8 week estimate. Despite, the additional additional 3 weeks, the project stayed on budget except for change orders we approved (and a few relatively minor HVAC issues that couldn't have been identified until we opened up the walls.) Overall, the additional 3 weeks was well worth the quality work we received.
>
> The Reliance team was very professional throughout the project and was always on time and friendly. We would definitely hire Reliance to work in our home again.

> Went over budget, went over time and then did a shotty tile job. At first they didn't own up to the shotty tile job, and when they finally did and went to fix it they didn't do it as described. Their explanation for the tiling is that they simply can not do the grout lines right with octangular tiles-although I had them in my previous house and have a few friends who also have them-without this grout line problem. They packed up while I was at work and then called to see if I was happy with the "correction." When I questioned why all the tiling in the shower pan wasn't pulled out like we agreed on-I was told it was because it would jeopardize the water proof seal in the shower pan to rip out the tile. Well it would have been nice if you had either done the tile job right in the first place or told me before you packed up and left. When we made a second payment I asked how much our balance would be at the end since we were moving money around-I was given a balance that was nearly $2,000 off. Then they wanted final payment within two days of finishing the project and despite my husbands doctorate and my masters degree-it took us hours to sort through all the invoices and try to figure their accounting out. We finally just paid them to be done with them. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. So now I have a $20,000 bathroom that I avoid using because I just see the mediocre tiling job that upsets me every time I go in there.

**Comment from Reliance Design Build:**

> We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the final results of your project. However, we would like to point out a few facts about this project as a whole. The project start date was postponed twice by the client on short notice. We charged no penalty for this and worked with her to reschedule. From the outset, we had problems reaching our client via phone and/or email which made the construction and scheduling process very difficult. We responded to every email, phone call and meeting request that the client asked for. Our installer did an extra four days of tile work and when he last spoke with the client, she was happy with the results. After the project was complete, we tried to reach her via phone and email for two weeks and received no response. We had to resort to sending a collection letter to receive a response via email and even the final email did not note any dissatisfaction with the work performed. Any and all additional charges were due to client’s requests or unforeseen issues inside walls/floors. All change orders and charges were provided to client in writing and were approved by signature prior to billing. The photo here shows only one grout line in the shower pan; however, the remainder of the bathroom which looks beautiful is left out (see photos below). Our attempts at scheduling meetings or talking on the phone were not answered for two weeks after completion of the project. Despite all the points mentioned above we seek to make every effort to leave our clients happy with our work and would have worked to correct any remaining issues had the client kept in touch with us.

> Reliance worked on our 100 year old house to convert our 3rd floor attic into a master bedroom retreat, complete with his and hers walk in closets, a luxurious master bath and a bedroom with a sizeable living area. The transformation has been incredible.
>
> During the design phase, the designer was great and brought to life our desire to be true to the era of our house while still bringing through modern amenities. She understood our vision and was great at laying out different options for us that fit in our style and stayed true to the feel of our older home. The lead contractor was also wonderful to work with and was very clear and transparent regarding the costs of different construction options and was flexible as we explored different lay outs for the space. The Reliance team also provided an itemized estimate which was very helpful in managing our budget for the project and were very helpful in working with the city to get proper permitting for the space.
>
> The working crew that was at the house was also fantastic. We were extremely nervous to have people working in our home for several months but the Reliance team ended up being courteous and considerate of our family and our home. On multiple occasions they worked with us to prioritize areas of construction so that sections of our home could be finished and cleaned up and put back in use.
>
> In the end, the final product truly captured the spirit of what we wanted and delivered on keeping with the feel of an early 1900s home while still being packed with modern conveniences. We look forward to using and enjoying the space for many years and would highly recommend Reliance to anyone looking to renovate or remodel. The team was great, they took pride in their work and we are very happy with the results!

> We were living in an 80's home with very little updates. Reliance totally gutted the kitchen and masterbath and did upgrades to the other bathroom, half-bath, entrance way and laundry room. We LOVE everything they did.
> They started and ended the total project on time. They and their crew were friendly and professional. They accommodated our schedules to meet at various suppliers after work and did everything possible to meet our special requests without making us feel like it was a "big deal".
> I would definitely use them again for any remodeling needs.
> Photos of our house are on their website and have been featured in their ads.

> Ben and his company are exceptionally professional. They were on time every day, worked almost non-stop, and cleaned up each day. They did several small-ish projects and one fairly challenging project and everything was completed on time and on budget. I was impressed with Ben's problem solving skills each time his crew hit a snag. It's home remodeling - there are always snags. He even went with me to the home improvement store to select the lights for my kitchen. I knew the 'look' that I wanted but had no clue what to buy. I have one more project and will call Reliance. I know I will get quality work.

**★★★★ — crowleyma, Feb. 2014**

> We hired Reliance several years ago, when they were still a young company, to do a complete bathroom renovation in our one hundred year old house. The brothers were outstanding to work with--friendly, honest, good communicators. They were very hands-on and easy to contact. Their workers were conscientious and always cleaned up after a day's work. Their estimates were accurate, and they finished basically within the time frame stated. Their price was outstanding. We would love to hire them to do a kitchen renovation.

**★★★★★ — mbkahle, Jan. 2014**

> Ben and his team were wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were responsive, courteous, timely, collaborative and fun to work with. They gave suggestions for our space but also listened to what our vision was and we ended up with a great combination of the two. The work was started and finished in the time they said it would be, and any time we had a question or issue it was addressed immediately. We also felt their pricing was fair, and the cost overrun was relatively minor and nothing unexpected considering the age of our house (built 1921). I would highly recommend Reliance Remodeling (and already have)!

**★★★★★ — thomas77, Dec. 2013**

> They remodeled our 1980's guest bath and did a great job. Took it down to the bare walls and installed new bath, vanity and toliet, tiled the bath and the floor and painted the walls and installed new molding. Everyone comments on how nice it looks. They exceeded my expectations and I will use them for future projects.

**★★★★★ — kathleendolan, Nov. 2013**

> Reliance redesigned my master bathroom, including a new footprint/layout. The entire process was extremely positive, almost fun. The Reliance team is exceptionally professional, highly talented and very customer service oriented. As a design firm, they have no peers in Columbus in the mid-to upper market range. Their mix of savvy, intuition, accountability and personality are unseen in the remodeling field. The project was well managed, within budget and done exactly as promised. The team showed up early and stayed late, took great care to respect my property and kept me informed regarding each step of the project. Their suggestions regarding finishes, design shifts and overall project execution far exceeded anything I have ever experienced with any other contractor. They even handled an emergency situation with complete composure and competence. I will never hire anyone else in Columbus to do any work on my house except Reliance.

> Did a complete tear out of our old kitchen and put in a new kitchen from flooring to cabinets. Did a great job and we are very happy.
