A: @Kelly Bernier Designs - yes, it's a black painted wall! I'm a huuuge fan of black in interiors. It makes such a statement!

**Q: Photoshopped** *(in Photo Questions)*

Does anyone else find it odd that the entire exterior is photoshopped? The flower pots were added (they are a mirror image of each other). The other items were added, as well. And I'm pretty sure the windows have been photoshopped. Odd.

A: Good eye! One of the flower pots was added, as there was only one at the time of the photo. The windows are all natural, though.

**Q: Designer's Own Bathroom** *(in Before & After)*

After creating wonderful bathroom spaces for so many clients, I finally had the opportunity to oversee a facelift on my own tired bathroom. Budget allowed for new floor tiles, wall tiles, paint, artwork and light fixture. That's it that's all!
I fell in love with these graphic vintage-inspired charcoal and white floor tiles and built the space from there. Simple white subway tiles with dark charcoal grout are in keeping with the old Paris look and don't compete with the floor. I found the photos on the Internet and had them printed at the local Staples and framed them in gold to create a bit of glamour and contrast.
We still have our old sink, toilet and tub but my 16 year old daughter and I thrilled to share our new space inspired by our love for vintage fashion and 1920s Paris.

**Q: Hudson \#3 - Kitchen** *(in Before & After)*

This is the kitchen from our third big Hudson project and what a great project it was! The homeowners felt that their kitchen was outdated and not as functional as it could be. We kept the overall layout except that we eliminated the tiny island and replaced the two-tiered narrow island with a larger one-level island with storage and seating. This allowed us to move everything about two feet closer to the oven wall which in turn provided more room between the kitchen and the adjacent living room. The breakfast area was also revamped with a custom bench with storage, custom cushions, a new beautiful table, light fixture and custom slipcovered Parsons chairs (cream leather). The solid maple cabinets were shop-sprayed Oxford White and the island was custom-stained to match the new breakfast table. The backsplash is mother-of-pearl mosaic tiles, the hardware is polished nickel with crystal (knobs) and the polished nickel pendant lights over the island are the wow factor that sets it all off.
