**Q: can you tell me what your fireplace material is?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It’s from a company called Quartex. Colour is Luna Natural.

**Q: I am curious as to why you chose not to have one continuous island ?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the wood detail towards the end of the island. Was it a design choice? Or was it to solve a problem in the size of the island? Also, what is the depth of the island?

A: Thank you!
It was done for 2 reasons:
1- So that we could avoid a visible seam in the slab due to the length of the slab.
2- The clients wanted a space where they could face each other while having morning coffee. The lower functional cabinets stop at the point of the wood break, allowing for a fully open below waterfall slab detail. 
The island is 36” wide.

A: Hi there, the island in actually marble, it is honed Carrara. Only the solid white perimeter countertop is Corian.
