**Q: Unhappy with my kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi, my kitchen is grey cabinets and white back splash and a white quartzite counter top. I ordered an island and a pantry wall unit from a kitchen maker and approved a sample for the stain color for the island and pantry wall but when he installed it I hated it. I asked him if we could re stain it but it's very costly - he said he has to take it back and re do it and it's a huge job. I made a mistake - the stain is too light. I think the color should have been browner. He did something to the wood called ceruzing. Was supposed to be trendy. We plan to add stainless steel accent and nail heads around both island pantry wall as well. I will attach some pics. I want honest opinions- is it horrible? Thanks.

A: I think it's a great beginning.  I would add a fabulous rug, plants and other textures such as fabric or art.
