It was important to keep cost down, so we painted the existing cabinets and relocated the ones from the bar to use as the base for the large island. The family room, kitchen and breakfast room were connected, so it was importent to be cohesive. We also worked on the study that was adjacent to the family room. It was important to the client to use pieces that they had collected, but to give it a more updated feel.
