Owner's son-in-law "Austin" is their estimator/PM - he came out with only one day's wait and looked at my full gut kitchen/bath reno for nearly three hours. He took very detailed measurements and before departure indicated he would have me a draft 3D by end of following week. Since that day: NOTHING. Have called and spoken with receptionist multiple times informing her I have been calling, texting, and leaving VMs for Austin on his cell with no response. She tells me - now get this - "I'm so sorry - Austin won't return my calls either." After playing this game for a few weeks, I spoke again with receptionist and asked for Owner's name/cell: Mike (Sensitive Information Hidden). Told receptionist of my disappointment and asked her to have Mike Lefler call me. I informed her up front I would wait to hear from Mike Lefler to see if he was interested enough in me as a customer to even call me back. Guess what. NOTHING. So after waiting two weeks for Mike Lefler to call me, I texted him on his cell phone on December 16th describing my disappointment. I had even stopped into Foothills' showroom and met/shook hands with Mike and Austin weeks prior describing my project and my priorities and timelines. They were all over it. UNTIL it came time to perform. > > Moral of this story: Not sure if, after coming to see my project (I estimate it will be about $40-$50K) they Foothills does not deem my project "worthy" of their time or attention, of if they are simply as sketchy and questionable a contractor as I now suspect they are. Who knows. What I do know is neither Mike Lefler nor his son-in-law Austin (Estimator/PM) cared enough - even after investing their time to drive to/from my home and spend nearly 3 hours on-site - to give me (customer) even the common courtesy of calling and letting me know they were not interested in taking on my project. For this reason I am so grateful they showed their lack of integrity early, before we got to stage of any money changing hands. I hate to imagine how this would have gone had I made the mistake of handing over any form of deposit expecting these characters to perform. > > Advice: Steer clear of Foothills Cabinetry and Design Center. They will let you down. And as an aside - it is doubtful that Austin (the son-in-law/Estimator/PM) will even be working with Foothills very long. While doing my site visit he informed me he is likely heading to Gaza for a civilian military security deployment in January 2026 so who knows who will care for customers' projects once he ships out. > > On a brighter note: There are reputable cabinet/reno contractors in our area.
