At under 3,000 square feet, I knew my home would be rather modest compared to most of Geoff’s work. However, he immediately agreed to take on my project and patiently designed a beautiful home that is now half way through construction. He has never suggested or otherwise made me feel that my project is modest or less important in any way, and his counsel and candor throughout the design process, bid process and building process have been truly invaluable. He selected five high quality bidders for my project in order to keep it as competitive as possible, guided me through interpreting the nuance of each bid and identified the top contenders to interview. He knew exactly which one was perfectly matched to my personality, and between the two of them (and their amazing employees and subs), the building process has been a pleasure. I was fortunate to be able to move to the area in time to oversee construction in person and to also begin working at a local design firm and retail store. After five years of sun, the color had faded to more of a blue-grey tone and the best match I could find was Misty (SW 6232). The trim color is Oyster (SW7637. The garage door as well as the porch ceiling color is Moody Blue- SW 6221. Fot the shingle colors- we tried something new- mixed stain with paint (Rain- SW 6219) (using a 5 to 1 stain/paint mix) and dipped the shingles in this once or twice. **Q: interesting hood** *(in Photo Questions)* Please share brand of hood, or is that a cover? A: The hood cover is custom. **Q: Love the Railing** *(in Photo Questions)* Hi, Who did the railing and what are the materials. I'm in Miami also and I love this railing. Thank you. A: The railings are galvanized wire mesh mounted into a painted Pressure Treated Pine frame. Very inexpensive and easy to see through. **Q: I would really like to know the type of flooring you used throughout?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: These floors are reclaimed antique Heart Pine from South Georgia. **Q: Coffer Ceiling** *(in Photo Questions)* Could you please share how you created, and the details of the coffer ceiling? Love how it looks with the ship lap walls! Love it! A: The coffers are hollow 2x4 boxes wrapped in sheetrock, with a big crown over the pickled pecky cypress. **Q: Island color** *(in Photo Questions)* Beautiful! What color are the cabinets/island?
