The company did not offer adequate design consultation services and I found myself going into tile stores and being overwhelmed with the styles, colors, and the multitude of decisions I would need to make to coordinate the flooring, shower surround, shower niche, vanity, countertop, backsplash, and wall color. Additionally, I had no idea on how give the bathroom a completed look with artwork, etc. One afternoon I was close to a meltdown after yet another stop at a tile store and walking out with more questions than answers and more indecision. I pulled over in a parking lot and called Rebecca Ward Design, who I had found through reading Yelp reviews. Leah Connolly received my incoming call and talked me through how they could help me. I immediately knew I had made the right decision and felt an overwhelming sense of calm and relief. Upon her request, I sent an email with a description and pictures of my current bathroom, my remodel goals, my inspiration pictures, and describing my desire for a room that had symmetry and balance, my color preferences, likes and dislikes, etc. From there, we made an appointment and I had my first meeting with her and Rebecca Ward to review samples they had selected based on my input. They also provided wonderful suggestions for some of the blank wall areas - including a wall cabinet with a frosted glass front and wood matching the vanity to be placed above the toilet, a beautiful full length mirror for behind the bathroom door to reflect light, etc. They suggested a wonderful recessed vanity mirror that I didn't know I would love so much. It has beveling on the edges, integrated electrical and USB outlets, interior lighting, mirror defogger, and a programmable nightlight along the bottom edge. Having them in my home felt like a meeting with long time friends that listened well and they perfectly designed a space fully meeting all of my requirements. It feels wonderful to be so confident about every item chosen for my bathroom remodel and the layout. It is a big expenditure for a small space and wrong choices would be readily apparent. I never could have come up with the completed design that they did or anything remotely close. The remodel is in progress right now and every question that the construction workers have can be answered by looking at my design specs. I can not emphasize enough how important it was to have taken the step of hiring Rebecca Ward Design to help me through this process and I will hire them again for any remodels I have in the future. It comes in multiple sizes. The 12x24 is on the bathroom floor and the 2x2 mosaic is on the shower floor. We used Custom Grout \#381 Bright White for both. **Q: love the counter top. She is 11 and wants a Paris theme bedroom ... My concern is space and how to decorate... Any help is appreciated... The pics after the bed are pics of her bedroom now... A: White bedding and drapery with pink and black trim **Q: Need help with kitchen wall color** *(in Design Dilemma)* Currently have almond cabinets that I can't change. Countertop and backsplash change is a bit further out, but I can paint. There is only 1 wall that gets paint, and the rest are the walls above the 8' high cabinets. The ceiling slants from 8' to 14' so it's a lot of wall, but does have a skylight in the center. Current color is Navajoe White, but Bone White also matches. I'm thinking of a deeper tan to pickup the current backsplash tile, but think it might look muddy. I do put large vases in teal and red up on the walls and try to pick up color that way. The kitchen is light but is a western exposure. Any thoughts on how to add some interest with paint color? A: Yes, I think a strong color would be fine.
