**★★★★★ — Mary Mantei, May 2017**

> We hired Victor and Grand Bay Building to add an upstairs bathroom to our 1900 small Victorian home. The finished product is beautiful. Right from our first conversation, Victor was helpful and straight forward. Once the plans were drawn up, Victor met with an architect to be sure the addition was in keeping with the historical integrity of our home. We made a couple changes during the work, and Victor rolled with them. Victor was timely and within budget. We are in the process of hiring Victor again for a basement remodel. A pleasure to work with all the way around.

**★★★★★ — New Leaf Interiors, May 2015**

> Victor and Nancy at Grand Bay are wonderful to work with. They bring a fresh, husband/wife perspective to each project, are creative, yet realistic in their approach and are two of the hardest working people out there. I appreciate the level of integrity they bring to their craft, their dedication to their industry and the quality of their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Once in the front door- this home l…

## Community Q&A

**Q: pendant lights** *(in Photo Questions)*

are these pendant lights available and if so can I use them on a hampton bay track light

A: These lights are low voltage - purchased in 2004. I doubt they could be use with Hampton Bay. Sorry that I can't remember the brand.

**Q: Where did the light fixture come from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Actually- this homeowner did make their own!

**Q: Bathroom with original 1940s tile! Need help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Our home was built in the 1940s and still has the original tile on the walls and I think on the floor as well. The shower has obviously been re-tiled because the tile doesn't match. The grout in the shower is in pretty bad shape (i.e. missing in lots of places, especially the floor). I'd like to re-tile the floor and shower but keep the walls. Can anyone help? What kind of tile (or other material) would go well with these walls? Same with the shower? Sorry I don't have an image of the shower. I'll try to upload one soon!

A: Just ran across your bathroom question- if the grout is missing on the shower floor and you're concerned with possible leaking- consider removing the floor and replacing the with a rubber membrane under new floor tiles- those small hex tiles in blues would be awesome and would work well to create a slope to the drain..
