> We recently built an ADU with Valley Home Builders and would definitely work with them again. From the beginning, the operation manager Yazan had always been transparent about pricing, respected our budget and kept us on track. The architect Natalie was so nice to work with; she considered our needs and got us through the permitting process with no comments regarding the architectural design. The project manager Alex was also amazing. The whole Valley team: their building works were beautiful! Like any big construction project, there’re some small hiccups along the way but Valley always tried their best to resolve and meet our expectations. All in all, we’re very happy!

**★★★★★ — Yoshi Takebuchi, Sept. 2019**

> Collaborative, honest, and efficient
>
> We recently worked with Valley Home Builders on an addition of the master suite to our home. We had decided to work with them because of the favorable experience we had a few years ago when communicating with Arman, their project developer, when we were planning a different project (which we had put off). We had met with a few design-to-build companies then, and felt that Arman was the most tuned into our needs and lifestyles. To be fair, a few other companies provided very helpful input and advices as well, but we appreciated how Arman's questions to us were around our lifestyle and how the new space could augment it, instead of what kind of new space we should consider.
>
> So this time for the space addition project, we went straight to Valley Home Builders. Because of the preceding communication, Arman was quick to digest the intention of our project.
>
> Stepping right into the planning phase, we visited and sat with Robert, their architect, a couple of times a month for a few months. He listened to our needs, brainstormed with us various options, and turned ideas into shape. We wanted the new space not to exceed certain square footage, while trying to fit the master bedroom and a spacious Japanese ofuro-style bathroom (soaking tub and washing space around it), so Robert's creative input was definitely invaluable.
>
> During the interior design, we worked with their designer Olga over the course of a few months. She took Robert's spacing plans and our vision, and iterated on the design (particularly of the bathroom which was the most demanding) to provide us with an impressive design solution. The latter half of this phase was spent on selecting materials, which was very meticulous thanks to Olga's attention to detail. We were also happy to receive her input when we were uncertain about our selection of materials.
>
> Lastly, we were introduced to Paul, their project manager, and kicked off the construction phase. Even though we experienced a number of rainy days (the construction took place during winter-spring), Paul and team were flexible in adjusting the schedule and the order of tasks, in an attempt to minimize the number of wasted days due to the weather. To the eyes of us lay people, the team was very efficient and always working on something despite the weather; however, this was also echoed by my good neighbor who is also in construction business himself, as he would witness the progress. Whenever we had question about the progress or schedule, Paul would respond in a timely and honest manner. He would sometimes also come in himself to touch up on small things. We aren't sure if the project managers typically do that, but we definitely appreciated his attentiveness and attention to detail. There had been problems with defective parts, certain things not working as expected, etc, but Paul was quick to address them.
>
> We also appreciated how during the construction phase, Mehdi (the owner of the company), Robert and Joy (designer who inherited the project from Olga) would pay a visit every now and then to check on the progress and the quality.
>
> Now we have moved into the new space, and everyone in the family enjoys it. We would definitely work with them on future projects.

**Comment from Valley Home Builders:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words Mr. Yoshi. It was our pleasure to work with you on your beautiful house.

> We just completed an ADU (additional dwelling unit) on our lot with VHB. One way you can tell a project is successful is when at its completion you feel you made the right choice for your builder, among other initial options. The good impression we had at first was confirmed. VHB was definitely up to the task. Given that we had non-standard demands (insulation, structure), VHB proved to be quite flexible in accommodating our requests and in problem solving situations - both for the main structure and interior design. Their top strength was in their architectural design experience and advices ( and in project management ), while all other aspects of the execution exuded professionalism. The VHB owner followed closely the project, and was hands on.
> Afterward we realized how much our project needed a robust, cohesive and experienced team and VHB turned out to be exactly that.

**Comment from Valley Home Builders:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words, Michele. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us—and we agree, Our amazing team is the core of our strength! We count ourselves lucky for customers like you. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

**★★★★★ — User, Feb. 2019**

> Our project was a full gut and relayout of the existing floor plan with a 700+ sqft addition and new garage. VHB stuck very close to their budget proposal throughout the project.
>
> We chose VHB after meeting with Arman who patiently took the time to help us understand the full process of what it takes to build a home and how VHB does it differently. Arman was awesome to work with, he didn’t pressure us in anyway, he was really there to listen and understand our needs and how VHB could help to build the right home.
>
> I had worked with contractors in the past for smaller projects like a bathroom remodel and it was a mess in terms of design, logistics and material selection. When we learned that VHB provided end-to-end services with architecture, design, and permit management we decided that they would be in the running out of our list of contractors we interviewed. But, In addition to their great team, it was their structured approach of locking down and signing off designs together that really sold us. For a project of this size, we wanted to avoid the headache of last minute design and purchase decisions.
>
> During the planning phase, we were well heard by the architect and designers. Robert, Joy and Olga did an excellent job listening to our needs and really understood what we were looking for. Early on I felt confident that this team could handle all of our design details and execute. Though there are always some hiccups in the process, we felt these were all communicated early and the team was able to make things right.
>
> Our project was managed by Paul - we were fortunate to have his meticulous eye watching over everything. There were always details that I wouldn’t have seen myself, but he took the time to make things just right even if they had to be redone. All of the subcontractors VHB worked with did excellent work. I really have no complaints here.
> Paul also worked tirelessly to finish our home so we could move in when our baby arrived. Thanks Paul!
>
> Overall, we’re very happy with the quality and process that VHB provided. I would definitely go with VHB if I had to do it all over again.

**★★★★★ — miscdm, March 2018**

> Valley Home Builders absolutely exceeded our expectations. We decided to go with VHB with our remodel after meeting with Arman. He was very professional and easy to work with. Together we created a plan that we needed and wanted, but most importantly a one that made sense. It's common to hear about nightmare experiences with contractors. However, I felt like he was an advocate for my family during the entire time of our remodel. He made sure we stayed within our plan and budget.
>
> Remodel process was very well communicated from start to finish. Project manager Paul had the crews working continuously and efficiently. We ran in to your typical issues you get with an old house. Still VHB managed to complete the project almost 2 months early. Even after moving back in, Arman kept in contact with us for several months to see how things were going and if we needed anything.
>
> I recommend Valley Home Builders to anyone who is looking for a contractor for your next project.

**★★★★★ — Kathy Stark, Nov. 2017**

> I chose Valley Home Builders because they have an experienced in-house team that handles all aspects of the major remodeling projects I was considering, from scoping out the project to final inspection. The very thorough up front project planning helped me decide to break my project in two, with the first part, a major forward addition to my living room and garage, completed in 2017. I was happy with the clarity of communication and responsiveness all during project, and am very happy with the results.

**Comment from Valley Home Builders:**

> Thanks for the great review, Kathy! A lot of love and hard work goes into our scones,so I can’t thank you enough for your kind review of valley home builders. You’re the best, Kathy. Thank you again for sharing such a positive experience. It means the world to us.

**★★★★★ — Candy Yu, Feb. 2017**

> Valley Home Builders did a great job on my art studio addition. We met many times and went through detail planning process. They listened to what I'd wanted and my concerns and came up with creative ideas to solve problems. During construction phase, they were always on time, responsive, organized, and easy to work with. I love the final product. I'm already recommending VHB to my friends.

**Comment from Valley Home Builders:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words, Candy/Roger. We had a great time working with you on your project. We are so glad you're enjoying your new addition.

**★★★★★ — chron, March 2015**

> I had a fantastic experience with Valley Home Builders. I used VHB to do an addition of a bedroom and a bathroom. In the bidding process they were definitely the most professional, and ended up middle of the pack in quote pricing. The remodel was well communicated and they provided a detailed schedule. Work was predictable: everyone came in on time and there was someone doing work every day.
>
> They were on time, honest, and did quality work, and we're really happy with the end result. We had other contractors in the past but this one we will be recommending to friends!
